This is a good book. The book is called MIRACLE ON 49 STREET. The book remind you of the move GAME PLAN. Instead of the sport being football, in the book it is basketball. The protagonist in this book is Molly. She lived in Paris with her mom. She had to go to Boston because she died. She never meat her dad and he never meat her. Mike Lupica is a great author. He does a talk show on ESPN today. He is very involved in sports and that's what all of his books are about. Miracle on 49th Street is a book about a girl who has a mother that has just passed away. She wrote a note to her before she passed and she told her about who her father really was. Title is kinda misleading, but I enjoyed it! The ending made me tear up a little and I loved Matties sassy ways. Molly was sassy sarcastic and I liked her too. I actually had some L.O.L moments! I think this book shows a huge factor of change. It is a mountain plot arch. It starts with molly talking to Josh then Molly showing up at his practice and it evolves from there. I think there were a few lessons shown in this book. One was that if you put your head to something you can achieve anything. Miracle On 49th Streeit is a heartwarming story about a father and his daughter. I was impressed by the way the author, Mike Lupica, built up suspense, and developed a conflict that the reader could understand, and possibly relate to. People who enjoy sports, mostly basketball, and believe in miracles.
I enjoyed this book a lot. Since I play basketball i saw this book and decided i should read it. This book kept me entertained and always wondering what would happen next. I can relate a lot to this story and how its about a girl that plays basketball. Molly moves from London to Boston, i think that would be a hard move because you're not just moving cities or states but to a whole new country.
