I read this about 10 years ago, and i remember it being so amazing. It's a vision Rick Joyner was given, an allegory of spiritual battle. It gave me glimpses of heaven that I will never forget. I'm not saying it's fabulous literature, he's pretty much just writing down what he saw, but there's a lot of wisdom in it. I'm re-reading it now.

recommends it for: Anyone
This one book has had more influence on me than most others combined. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the Lord, and who wants to go deeper in the Lord. Rick Joyner paints amazing visuals that you will never forget. I've read this book a dozen or more times, and something different stands out every single time. Fabulous.

recommends it for: any christian looking for a call to increased passion and service
One of my favorite books of all time. perhaps controversial, because the author says the entire book was based on visions from God. I don't see why that's up for question--frankly, if someone were making something up, I figure he'd try to make himself come across better. There's at least 3 books in this series, and they are all good, and very helpful in getting a better grasp on the Christian life. You have to read them with some willingness to believe what he says, and yet test them against wha...more

It is difficult to take this book at face value, that is, to truly believe that all of this vision really occurred to him. As a piece of writing it blurs the lines of allegory and reality quite dangerously. To read it factually is unsettling due to its lack of biblical precedent; to read it allegorically is equally as unsettling because Joyner claims that it is truth, not fiction. I would claim that it's borderline gnostic, but I think I'll stick just to writing and interpreting as it's all I...more

"If you really desire to be even closer to Me than Paul was, you can. Some will want this, and they will want it badly enough to lay aside anything that hinders their intimacy with Me to give themselves fully to it, and they will have what they seek."

"The goal of your life must be love, not power. Then I will give you power to love with. I will give you the power to heal the sick because you love them, and I love them, and I do not want them sick."

This book is like plugging your finger into a light socket. The first half is an analogy of the spiritual mountain we climb, with additional insight on the coming split in Christianity. The second half is encounters he has with people during a visit to heaven, as he learns how they wished they had lived their lives now that they know how God views life.

This is the first in a series of allegories written by Rick Joyner. They are great. The interesting thing is that they are not created by Rick. He actually experienced these stories in visions over a period of time. They are similar to Hinds Feet on High Places, but more exciting and graphic.

i read this book twice in a row. it gives me a clear picture of how pervasive sin is in my life. but how my eternity with God is still secure. of how Heaven may be. i dont know.. it really resonated with me.. i think i will read it again, once i remember who i loaned it to. :o)

if you're looking for end-times revelation(in addition to The Word), this one is super exciting. joyner recounts a series of dreams/trances where he is literally taken into heaven and sees the end times.

This book will help anyone who is struggling with church hurts and confusion as to why other Christians can be so cruel and still call themselves Christians. It is an eye opener!

As a fantasy it's a good read, a simulated perception of a prophet and like most prophecy it contains useful bits of knowledge and wisdom.
