I was perusing goodreads one morning and I found this e-book and had to read it. I was lucky enough to be able to download it onto my Nook and I read it all in a few short hours. It was pretty good, it had it's cheesy moments (just a couple) but the rest of the story made up for the cheese.

I'm a big fan of Lora Leigh and I've read time and time some of her books.
She always manages to capture my attention and hook me in with a romance or a plot that twists up my imagination.
Her male characters are always alpha and big, brooding, delicious, and I could be here all night writing adjectives and not get tired of it.
On the other hand, her female characters are sexy, strong, and always driving the male species out of their mind.

Ciò che mi è piaci...more

A scorching Navy SEAL novella giving us the love story of Raven and Reno. The last two sentences of the Prologue set up the entire tale:
He was all she wanted in the world, had ever really needed.
And he was the one man she could never allow herself to have.
If you are a fan of Ms. Leigh's Navy SEAL/Elite OP's work, you need this one on your shelf. It can also be found in the anthology:

Pues.. me parecio aburrido.. no tuvo accion fuera de la cama.. y bueno.. no considero un buen libro si no tienen una buena parte de accion de fondo.. o por lo menos una gran historia con unos cuantos conflictos que los lleven despues a la cama :p..
Este libro trata sobretodo de los problemas que tiene ella acepando que el es un Seal y que puede no regresar de alguna mision.. y como se compara con su madre que paso por eso y por lo cual ella no quiere una relacion con el.. aunque es mas que obvio...more

Reno has been patient about waiting for Raven McIntire to realize he is the only one for her, but on his latest trip home he has decided her time is up. Raven is afraid to take a chance on Reno, a Navy Seal, this was the life she grew up in and she is reluctant to give her heart with the fear it may break if Reno was to get hurt.

This is a short that comes before the Navy SEAL's series. From the first, I've wanted Reno and Raven's story and here it is.
More hot than story but enough character to keep me reading. I do wish there was more to it since both characters play so heavy in the novels that follow. One thing Leigh does well is erotica and this certianly doesn't disappoint in that area. If you want to read hot sex, this is a great story for it. If you want a good love story, this isn't it. Raven has had a crush on her best friend’s older brother for years, but he has shown no interest in her other than as the friend of his sister. Instead he’s enjoyed plenty of temporary liaisons with attractive women that have succumbed to his kinky tastes.
She has sweated through nights when he and/or her brother has been on missions, scared to death that they will leave her in the same way her father did. She finally decides that it would be best for everyone if she just forgot all about him… an...more

This is the first book in this series and it about Reno Chavez and Raven McIntyre. It is going to be hard to say much about this story and not give anything away. Reno is a Navy SEAL. He is all dominant alpha male and very much in love with Raven. He has waited for her to grow up and decide that he is the right man for her. He is tired of waiting.
Raven is afraid of committing to Reno because her father was a SEAL and he was killed when she was a child. She is also afraid because her mother was a...more

Reno and Raven...... Hmmmm, never thought I would say this, but.....there was too much sex in this book without a storyline of some sort.. I read somewhere that this series coincides with Lora's Elite Ops series, so I expected more or less of the same...
I would've also selected a different name for the heroine (Raven) in the book, Reno & Raven just don't sound right.. Must admit...the sex scenes was SIZZLING, and I loved Reno. He's so sweet..
Now on to Clint's story!

Gave it two stars because I was expecting more of this book. I originally picked this up because I'm in love with her Breeds series and I thought this was going to be just as good. It didn't even came close. I don't know if this series is supposed to be like this, but I'll still give the second book a chance. This one was basically PWP and I didn't connect with the characters. Hell, I didn't HAVE time to connect with the characters. Hoping the next one is better.
Reno's Chance is a very quick reading and it's the first book I've read about military romance. Finished it within 24 hours and it was good.
The story's about Reno and Raven. And they loved each other then and now. The case was just that Raven was in denial because she didn't want to have anything to do with because she's in fear. In fear of losing him exactly as she lost her father. She didn't wish to get hurt anymore but Reno wasn't about to give up because this time, he wanted to have her in h...more

This was a quick little read for me, and from what I understand the first in Lora Leigh's Navy Seals stories. I have heard some wonderful things about this series, and since I am OCD, I had to read number one first. It was pretty good, although there was really a lack of plot and setting, there was a TON of sex in it. So if you like reading about sex, sex, and more of it, well this one's right up your alley! Moving on to Dangerous Games shortly!
I still enjoy reading straight up romance, but I've come to realize they are no longer my preferred genre. Not unless I'm in the mood for some quick entertainment. Lora Leigh's RENO'S CHANCE was good, but it seriously lacked any premise of a plot.

Pages of Hot sex, then pages of hotter sex, a few paragraphs of conversation, more sex, kinky sex, then sex.
I guess that about sums up the whole story. There was a very poor excuse of a plot. There was a very poor excuse of a setting. The characters had deep motivations that the author shared with us, but there was no emotional character growth on the hero's part, and about a paragraph of it for the heroine.
Top it off with poor editing, and I wonder why these have been a must-buy for me.

This was a delicious little snippet of erotic romantic fun! I haven't looked to far ahead but I think this is the beginning of a series, maybe? Anyway who doesn't love Navy Seal boys.
I am looking forward to more, especially because this was just a novella, so literally just whet my appetite.

A quick, hot, easy read. Reno is a typical alpha male but I like him, which is quite a change because usually I hate LL's alpha hero. Most of the time they're an ass. But not Reno. I guess it helps that the story is relatively short. Otherwise, he could have turned out to be an ass as the story develops.

Hot sex but nothing more. This book was too short for me to bond with my characters. Raven was too whiny and their relationship just wasn't believable. I love Lora Leigh's books, so it was hard for me not to give this a higher rating, but this was just an OK read.
This was an ok read. A tad too much cheesy stuff for my liking (view spoiler) but the sex scenes were hot and, for once, I didn't have to endure Ms Leigh's "obsession" with toys and anal sex. Which are fine by the way. I just find they have become somewhat of a cliché for her. That and sexually frustrated...more
What a short little story.
Raven's been in love with Reno, her best friend brother, since forever! But Reno is in navy and he's always leaving. When he got home, he's always steal one kiss or two until Raven can't take it anymore. Raven wants to leave him and moved on. But nothing she know that Reno's plan to staking his claim..
Short novellas with hint of BDSM and spanking stuff. I just hope there's more tender side of Reno. I mean, he always growls and dominance and jealous. I want him to beg...more

I'm just getting into Military romances and for me this novella was heat without much substance. It was nice to while away 2 hours but the descriptions of Raven's longing for Reno were quite repetitive and lasted too many pages in my opinion. Not much story-line, lots of reasonably hot sex. As the heroine describes the hero as a perv not far into the book I thought the sex would develop into something a bit more risque (it didn't). However as Raven was the women Reno had fallen in love with I un...more

I found this endearing. Something about the two of them seem "cute"....I really didn't get the whole "Dom" vibe from Reno but being a SEAL worked for me... I liked to hear more about them in later books...

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in...more
