recommends it for:
gardeners; would-be gardeners
My grandparents got this for me and it is an excellent book, especially for beginning gardeners, but for all kinds, too, I think. Lots of good information and the pictures are very well done. So naturally, since it could be considered a reference book, I haven't read it cover to cover, but will get more into it the next time I am able to have a garden.

Semi-useful. This is a chatty book. It doesn't have a very good layout. The author talks of one thing and then the other. If you have a chance to sit down and read it, you will definitely find some useful information.
