Moira wants to invite grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, grade 4, grade 5, grade 6, aaaaaaand kindergarten to her birthday party. Her parents think she's crazy and limit her to 6 kids. 1-2-3-4-5-6. Since this is a Munsch book, clearly Moira's party is not, in fact, limited to 1-2-3-4-5-6 kids. (That name alone--Munsch--cracks kindergartners up, by the way, and when you add Martchenko to it they really get the giggles.)
Nope, not 6 kids, but 200 kids, and how ya gonna feed 200 kids??? One bit of sillines...more

Moira wants a large party for her birthday. She wants to invite Kindergarten through fifth grade. Her parents tell her she may invite six kids. Soon others ask to come and she says yes. She just doesn’t tell her parents. When they all show up they don’t have enough food and Moira and her friends solve the problem. Since she has 200 gifts she tells her friends that everyone who helps clean up the mess can take a gift home with them. Things turn out well until….
Moira has a birthday party and invites "grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, grade 4, grade 5, grade 6, aaaaaand kindergarten". Moira solves all the problems such as where to put all the kids and how to feed all the kids in pretty interesting ways. This book looks like it has a ton of words, but it reads really quickly.
I like this book a lot. I think it shows how we all want everyone to come celebrate with us often times for more presents. HOwever, Moira sees in this book that her birthday party became so big that it became just a party. In the end you see her happily sitting by herself while "her" party is going wild behind her.
This books makes learning math, compare: more/less than, very enjoyable. Moira's parents told her that she could only invited six children but Moira invited all the kinder, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade kids. They didn't have enough food for everyone. So Moira order 200 birthday cakes and pizzas. Now what were they going to do with the left over...another birthday!
