The downside of having read too much Sidney Sheldon is that you already know what to expect – surprising plot twists. That is why while reading this book I was already making bets with myself as to who the real culprit was. The thing is, Sheldon spoiled the fun for me as he already revealed the perpetrator early on in the story. Or so I thought. Because a few pages before it ends, something turns the story around. Twists and turns and ups and downs - this book had me going down one path and just when I least expected it, I was catipalted onto a different path. And I loved it! Beyond predictable, but still enjoyable to try to see if I could guess as to where the story would lead. Another superb job done by The master of thrills, deceit, lies, greed, blackmail, and money. That was a lot. From beginning to end I was pulled into a web of deception by your most cherished loved ones. Even though early on Sidney revealed the person of interest. He still left me tangled in the lies. I was shocked even to find out everything in the end.
All of it came together leaving me full of excitement and frustration that it has ended.
Sidney is the best of the best.

Once again, everything you could hope for in a Sidney Sheldon novel: bland title, power-hungry and deceitful characters, and many twists and turns along the way. I had fun guessing what would happen, and even though I got most of them right, I also guessed a few of them incorrectly (the fun part about his books is that anything can happen, so it's all fair game). Done in 2 days

just finished reading this novel.i had the chance to finish it in five engrossing hours last night...it is a fun read. so far, for me, this is his the most discreet novel when it comes to sexual encounters... here, unlike the other Sheldon's, he immediately reveals who the culprit is.. it's a story which talks about greed. anyhow, sidney sheldon's novels provide comprehensible lessons for the readers...

I was desperate for something to listen to, but this was pretty bad. Very choppy sentences, very little story or character development, and a lot of unbelievable situations. As with classic Sidney Shelton it's very soap operaish, but this one didn't give me anyone I was pulling for or liked. The many plot "twists" were seen miles away.

This actually had lot more suspense than I expected from Sydney Sheldon. but I couldn't help noticing him being too much elaborative about the things outside the main story line. just like using a paragraph or two descrbing what DNA is and what are the test done to identify a match. the book was overall good.

Entertaining read, unfortunately I figured out the culprit before I was half way done with the book. Kept reading to see if I was right. I did like the characters. Though I definately am of the opinion that this was not one of Sheldon's best

A typical property based novel and yet Sheldon writes it so beautifully to make it immensely captivating. To me its the first Sheldon novel that doesn't feature a strong woman character and sensuous scenes. But it does feature typical Sheldon twists and turns that makes it enjoyable.
