Dropping zombies into a middle east conflict zone to take out the bad guys and then get burnt up in the dessert sun? What could go wrong?

Published in 2008, I'm sure some people still cared about zombies. In 2014 I think they've just been played out. The story and dialogue and character design and art all seemed a bit clunky or dated or just not well developed.

Good idea but terrible writing.
Zombies as top-secret biological's a neat premise, but the execution is so-so. Plus, I think this whole nationwide zombie obsession is running itself into the ground. The living dead are everywhere, from iPhone games to children's books. It's the same situation vampires were in a few years ago.
This was... I want to say horrible, but mostly it was just unbelievably lazy. The art was undeveloped and simplistic. The dialog was ham-fisted. The plotting was cliche-ridden. And the quick, easy wrap-up-everything ending? *Sigh* I don't even know why I forced myself to finish this...
A good bit cleverer than your average zombie book, A bit too high-brow and multicultural for those looking to see soldiers kill some zombies real good perhaps.
