This wasn't without its mistakes but was still a very good story indeed and one I didn't want to put down (unlike the most recent Patricia Cornwell one I read)!!
Alex and her husband Jack had a life others could only dream of. Good jobs, great health, etc...then it's all ruined in one traumatic night.
I liked the way the author built up the story and what we we learning about Jack. So it made later events pretty unexpected. Cleverly done.
I like that she used her own photography on the cover-good f

This is yet another amazing book by Elizabeth Parker. Adding her own twists to the crime fiction genre, Elizabeth has created a tale of a family and a serial killer that will keep you reading. She uses the mysterious bond between twins, the abuse suffered during the early childhood of a serial killer, and the love of family to present a story of crime and of love lost and found only to be lost once again. The mind and motivation of the killer is presented in a way that might get people to take a ...more

Wow! That is the first word that pops into my head upon finishing this book. I had no idea what an incredible story I was going to be embarking on when I first started reading. At first this book leads you in one direction, begins going in a different direction, and before you know it the story branches off in a completely unexpected way yet wraps itself up neatly at the end coming full circle tying up every last detail perfectly. Character development was spot on as well. You really felt like ...more

The plot of this book is very good and kept me interested and involved. However, I don't like her writing style. It's simplistic and too much in a written word style, which makes the dialogue seem wooden and fake, as real people don't speak like that. The style was a bit distracting to me, but if you can get past that, the story was great.

I would have enjoyed the book more if it were not for the style of writing. I was as if it were written by a person in high school, especially the first part. The style of writing was way too simplistic and boring. The second part was better. Did have a good plot and suspenseful.

I live in Las Vegas, NV with my two retrievers. I started writing over fifteen years ago, mostly technical manuals with a little added pizzazz. I've also been writing novels since I was a teenager, however back then, they were either hand-written in penmanship that was barely legible or type-written. Penmanship and typewriters. Do those words still exist? Do you remember those typewriters? Didn't ...more
