Clever muskrat
He knows just how to outwit a very hungry tiger: tell him a story.

My hubby picked this out (mainly because it involved animals eating each other, lol) and it turned out to be pretty cute. At the end, it makes you half wonder if it's appropriate kids book lol
The drawings are kinda crappy, but oh well. What does a muskrat look like, anyway? XD

I'm not sure why my two and half year old loved this book so much. I think she liked the repetition of "Wait, i want to tell you a story!". The illustrations are basic and many small animals get eaten up.
Great for read-aloud. I have used this one for storytime many times. It's a repeating story so the kids like it and can predict what will happen next - until the surprise at the end.
Not sure this would be a 5 star book for everyone, but it sure brought back funny memories of when Maddie used to tell predator stories when she was little. We got a huge kick out of this.

whos hungry for dinner- this story is about a cat and mouse but one has to tell something before he is dinner. great story for kids to make predictions
Chaucer for kids: the clever muskrat keeps the tiger from eating him by telling a story that never ends. Kids love the predictability of the text.
Witty and such fun for read aloud, this book is a regular in my storytime rounds.
very 1001-arabian-nights-like but cute just the same

This book is also such a funny read. It is clever the way the story is told in a cycle. Soon, the kids pick up on the patterns that the author is creating and they join in too. Great interactive book!
This is a hilarious story about trying to avoid getting eaten by a tiger! Very funny and fun to share.
Chirpy and lightweight; the food chain as a nested yarn. Fun metafiction for teeny tots.
it's so cute, except a muscrat and a tiger do not look like that.
