Loved it. I thought I wouldn't at first, but the chemistry between Anna and Luc was amazing. I like the way their relationship progressed, and I was truly astounded that, every time I was beginning to find myself annoyed with the heroine, she did or said something else that almost totally defused it.

Why hadn't I read this book and author before? Save My Soul was EVERYTHING I love about reading romance. It had a great storyline that kept me interested and buried deep within the story. Save My Soul is the second book in the Preternaturals series, but if you haven't read book one, don't let that put you off. This book stands alone quite well.
The part of me that loves a good paranormal romance loved this story. Anna and Tam and Luc and the whole cast of characters really made for an enjoyable story. This is the second book in Zoe Winters’s Preternaturals series. I did not read book 1, but I will doing so soon. You can pick up Save My Soul and not be lost at all, it seems this story is independent of the others. If there were any crossovers, I didn’t notice and they did not distract from the plot.

This is my first book I have read from Zoe and I will now be going out and getting more. This book was totally awesome.
It got me wrapped in the story within the first chapter. At first I was thinking oh crap this is going to be freaky but I was okay.(in case you were worried) Once you get into this book you will not be able to put it down. I’m more than a little stunned. Not because I didn’t expect the book to be so good. Hell, I’ve read Kept, Claimed, and Mated. I know Zoe Winters has some mad story-telling skills. Having mad story-telling skills, however, isn’t the same as having the skills to make me believe a romance is possible between an Incubus and a human. This is why you should NEVER. EVER. tell a writer what they can and cannot do because they will do it out of spite and it will blow your mind every time.

Ugh, I couldn't even finish this. I'm so fed up with these possessive, abusive loves that seem to permiate the paranormal romance genre nowadays(at one point, Anna even asks herself if being abused by Luc would be so bad, even though a dude just attempted to rape her, like, 24 hours ago!). This whole "I'm a reformed bad guy who used to murder women and like it, but now i feel bad about it so it should all be forgiven and forgotten"-bullshit is getting on my nerves. First of all it's hilarious. Anna cracks me up. She is super funny and her antics with Mimi and Bitsy and her passel of hookers is so funny. I love Anna she is such a good character and she has such a great personality. She's very caring and compassionate; even to hookers (which a lot of people wouldn't be). Luc is awesome. Save My Soul, by Zoe Winters, is a paranormal romance with edge. This is not a genre I've read much, but, in interviewing Zoe for the blog, I became fascinated by the ideas and themes she explores in her writing. There are associations and asides in the narrative, which will have greater resonance with those fully conversant with the genre. But, even as a newcomer, I found the book engaging and entertaining.

I read Ms. Winters' novella collection, and found her stories interesting and well done, so I was naturally curious as to what she could do with a full-length book. She didn't disappoint, and I can honestly say that this sophomore (I'm assuming) effort is superior to its predecessor.
This book features a very unusual romance, and I should warn you, there are things that for some may be a deal-breaker.

I began reading this late Friday night and was finished Saturday night, it was that entertaining to me. I have never read about an Incubus and wasn't sure HOW this would play out- as a love story. The character of Anna is quirky, witty and has a smart head on her shoulders. Luc, the 'hot' incubus who has been trapped in her newly purchased home for 50 years, is someone you more likely WOULD want to have watching over you, just for the fact alone that he is one hot demon. (A sex demon at that!)....more

Save My Soul is my first read from author Zoe Winters but it will not be my last.
From the first I was intrigued with Anna's story if a bit confused... When the light dawned that there was more than just a story about an old house being possessed by a restless and sometimes destructive spirit I was totally hooked and kept reading until every page was devoured!
Not only is there plenty of snarky humor when Anna tries to "exorcise" the spirit but there is also a very well built up romantic relation...more

Zoe Winters has given us wonderfully designed characters. It is these characters driving the plot throughout the story. Anna is great. Luc is fantastic. A bit of a different turn on the incubus demon. The supporting characters we see in Tam and all "the girls" are creative and original. I loved the best friends/constant support Anna found in Tam and I found it interesting that Anna chose to become friends with all the girls.

I will admit that it took me quite a few clicks before I really got into this book but I thoroughly enjoyed this read. This is book 2 in the Preternatural series, the first having been Blood Lust, a collection of three novellas (Kept, Claimed and Mated).

Better than I thought it would be. It was free on my Nook, and usually free books aren't all that and a bag of chips, but this one was actually interesting. I hadn't read anything yet involving Inucbi so it was a change for me, but a good one.
I really liked the main characters, Anna and Luc. Anna annoyed me now and again, what with all her running around. I should go back and count how many times in the book that she got scared and ran off, very uncool IMO.

After reading Blood Lust by Ms. Winters I knew I'd enjoy this title as well. It was my first incubus/demon story. I was pleased with the way the author described this world. She gave me enough information to help me understand, but didn't take things too far and cause it to feel like a textbook.

Save My Soul is an easy and fast read - perfect for a lazy weekend. Anna was a relatable character - I liked her snark and humour a lot. Luc never quite did it for me. Sure, he's gorgeous and can give you an orgasm by basically just looking at you, but I'm not into sharing. Like Anna, I'd have a big problem knowing the guy I'm half in lust/half in love with is down the hall getting it on with other women, even if there is a good reason for it.

Save My Soul was definitely entertaining, but I felt it fell a little short of my expectations after reading the author's first three novellas. As with those the writing was clear and concise, filled with humor and interesting characters. The tension between Anna and Luc was palpable and I was fully engaged despite the occassional slow pace of the story. I have to admit that the second book in a good series is usually a bit lackluster; the plot and events become predictable. This is so not the case with Save My Soul!
