Best of The Best is an inspiring sports book about an athlete battling family issues. In this book Josh LeBlanc is a great baseball player for his travel team, the Titans. His Dad is the coach of that team and they had just won a big tournament in Maryland. However, all is not well in the LeBlanc household. Josh's mother and father are contemplating divorce and it is taking a toll on Josh. Josh's father moves out of the house and Josh is trying to juggle his family, his team, and his friends at...more

Best of the best is a really good book. Josh Leblanc is a kid who is twelve years old and is a gifted baseball player. His team won the Cooperstown championships last year. Josh's dad is always with Diane His new girlfriend. She is involved in a scandal to steal his money for her son Marcus cross. Marcus is playing in a little league team and is super obnoxious only when he is with Josh. Josh's dad wants him to play on the team so he can help the team go to the LLWS(little league wild series). After Josh is happy after his win in the Cooperstown tournament, he realizes that his parents are getting a divorce. Instead of being very sad about it, he, and his friends, try to figure out what is really going on in his parents' relationship. Josh's dad's girlfriend, who Josh does not like, also has a very mean son, and Josh wants them to leave.
I thought this book was ok, because I like baseball, but it wasn't written very well, and it lacked some things in a lot of...more

Tim Green is coming to RMS during the next school year, so his books are on the summer reading list. I like this type of realistic fiction. The characters, dialogue, and plot are all very believable. Josh has to deal with some family issues as well as team issues. I know that Tim Green has written other books with these characters which I think Cole will also enjoy. I will be checking out the other books he's written, too.

The story best of the best I thought was a good story but not great. The story had a baseball background but it was to predictable. The
Story was cool though with how Josh felt for his family and how bad he wanted his dad and Mom back together. If you like Baseball and family books the I would defiantly recommend this book to you. But if you just like baseball this book was not very good.

A rough, but passable, kids baseball book. Got an ARC of this one, found the characters to be almost completely unlikeable across the board, and found a lot of the situations that the kids encountered to be a bit ham-fisted and, worse, lacking in any sort of consequences.

I think the most unfortunate part is that so many kids sports books are the only way to shoehorn these sort of "life experience" stories into books boys will read. Because boys get the shaft so often when it comes to kids and l...more

So, I've obviously missed a book in this series--there were numerous references to events that I was in the dark about, but it didn't really keep me from understanding what was going on here; it just annoyed me. That's my problem, not a problem with the book. This book was as much a book about coping with a family in ruins as a book about baseball. Josh's jerk dad has finally imploded. Since he can't play baseball, he's in full mid-life crisis mode, with all its clichés. He needs a hot chick and...more

Best of the Best by Tim Green, in my opinion, was just an ok book not a great one. I thought this because in my opinion Josh LeBlanc, the main character, spends too mush time crying over his family and not enough time playing baseball; and I get it he doesn't want his parents to get a divorce but over half the book was Josh crying and feeling sorry for himself. But other than that I thought this book was pretty good especially during the baseball parts because it was action packed and you never...more

It was a good book and a sad book because his parents got divorced. He was a great baseball player. They went to Williamsport and lost in the first round.

I learned that you should always take everything out of your mind when you are playing a sport because things can distract you.

BEST OF THE BEST

This is a advanced readers copy that hasn't came out yet so you might no want to read this.

Best of the best is a great book for sports players and for people who like to read about sports. Tim Green does a fantastic job with the beginning, and the plot, but in my opinion the ending was a little shaky.

Josh le Blanc and his friend Benji have just won the Coopers Town tournament with their travel team. And now they have a chance to go with there towns all-stars to play in the litt...more

At first I thought this book would be about baseball only, but it turned out to be about a 12 year old boy who is a baseball protege' and how he handles finding out his parents are getting divorced. Thing is, the woman his father has become involved with is the mother of a member of a team heading to the World Series of baseball. There is a mystery to be solved which is a little "nancy drewish" but the book describes the real feelings of a boy and how he handles learning about his parents while...more

I thought this was a great book. I liked how it was very easy to read and the book flowed very well. This is a great book to read if you love baseball or just sports in general. This is a book that has some sad parts that I dont want to say what happens. There are also some cliff hangers that just leave you hanging and so you just want to keep reading and not stop.

This is a book about a boy named Josh who stops playing for his tournament baseball team for a chance to be in the Little League World Series. He faces many problems along the way like rooming with a very obnoxious kid and his parents being divorced.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good sports book,a thrilling book,or just an overall great book

This third in the Baseball Great series is as compelling as the first two. An element of mystery that must be investigated adds to the play-by-play baseball action and make this a suspenseful page turner... (click here for full review http://www.storysnoops.com/detail.php...)

I read this book in about 48 hours and loved it! I read 2 series by Tim Green and loved them. The first series is the Football Genius series and the Baseball Great series. I would recommend both series to any one who likes sport books and illegal activity in them.

I am reading this book because I read the book before best of the best, rivals. I thought rivals was a very good book because of the suspense and baseball action. This sounds like a great book just by reading the summary!

If you like sports and like to read this book is for you. I loved the action and the characters. Tim Green really understands baseball and all of the details of the game. I look forward to reading more of his books.

Kind of boring...I thought it would be a baseball, entusiastie and a good book but then it turned out to be boring.
Sal
This book i belive was pretty good if you like baseball and know about the Little League World Series
Samantha
Each chapter is 5 pages or less. The writing is serviceable. The characters are flat and the action is too.
Rick
This was a really good book. Every chapter left you wanting to read the next chapter.
Jack Paciorek
