Read in January, 2006
The essays in this book, written by one of Scotland's best poets, has had a lasting and strong influence on the way I look at the natural world. Kathleen Jamie makes the best with what remains and what can be recovered giving the book a quiet splendor free from the strident strains of American wilderness and wilderness preservation.
