I've read this before - a few years ago. It was really awesome. I've always wanted to re-read it, so I'm doing it again.

Bottom line: this book contains some of the time-tested classics for inspirational literature.
"As a Man Thinketh - James Allen"
"The Great Stone Face - Nathaniel Hawthorne"
"The Mansion - Henry Van Dyke"
"Acres of Diamonds - Russell H. Conwell"
"A Message to Garcia - Elbert Hubbard"
"Self-Reliance - Ralph Waldo Emerson"
"Compensation - Ralph Waldo Emerson"
"The Greatest Thing in the

A compilation of 12 writings including The Life of Our Lord by Charles Dickens and As a Man Thinketh by James Allen. Although all are wonderful I love The Majesty of Calmness by William George Jordan. Uplifting and inspirational.

I really enjoyed the essays included in this book. I almost feel like I need to keep on reading it daily to be reminded of such great truths. A wonderful compilation.

I love "The Mansion" by Henry Van Dyke. The story of an old man coming to terms with his conviction that you never give anything away, without getting something out of it.
