"After-death communications," or "ADCs, " occur when someone is contacted spontaneously and directly by a deceased family member or friend, without the help of any medium. The authors' research shows that these spiritual experiences offer hope, love, and comfort for thousands of people. Included are more than 350 first-hand accounts of those whose lives have been changed a...more

I apologize in advance for the rambling nature of these comments. I originally set out to write only a short statement but this book, along with the closing lines from the Bible miniseries (at then end of my comments) had a profound impact upon me.

If you’ve ever doubted, reading this book in conjunction with Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives will certainly present a strong case for belief in an afterlife. The two books dovetail nicely in that Journey of Souls: Case Studies of...more

There are many books now about Near Death Experiences, where the eternal spirit of some people, who are close to death, actually goes to the Spirit World*, but is sent back. The person recovers, has reassurance of Life after Death, and may have received guidence, or feel they have a new mission on earth.
This book is remarkable, in that it is the first one I've seen, that recounts experiences of our loved ones who have passed on, returning briefly from the Spirit World, to comfort their loved one...more

Finished this a few weeks ago...accounts taken from all over the country from people who feel they have been in touch with loved ones lost - either through dreams, signs, or actual appearances. I already knew I believed in ghosts, but when you see some of the recurring signs and themes that link these stories, it would make even a non-believer question. The writers have an interesting idea about heaven after studying their varying accounts - a place where everyone will go but with different leve...more

I have found interest and inspiration in a lot of Life after death books. I exclude only those that deal with reincarnation, seances, and mysticism. This one was very interesting and takes a different but hardly unknown point of view. Being warned or comforted by the spirits of the departed has been going on for Melania, and has been written about personally by several ancient Greeks and Romans. Accounts are all through Christian literature, diaries, etc.

From the Amazon blurb:
"After-death commun...more

I have read this book several times, espeically when I have been feeling insecure or overwhelemed with life. For me this reminded me that our life here is just a short time and that we will be forever bonded to the ones we love!

My sister gave each of us this book after our Dad died. I resisted reading it until about a week after he passed on. I always questioned the idea of life after death and it was a totally different paradigm to open up to. I finally cracked it open while I nursed my feverish daughter for a couple of days on the couch. I found it incredibly comforting to read the stories and felt confident they were true as the authors had certain parameters by which they would accept a person's account of after de...more

To my shame, I first became aware of ADC's and the existence of this book way back in 1999, when the ADC website became the first place I ever visited online. I regret that it's taken me so long to get around to finally reading 'Hello From Heaven', however I believe that it was definitely worth the wait.
This collection of over 350 personal stories are arranged in chapters detailing the very different types of ADC, or 'After Death Communication' , where friends, family members and loved ones hav...more

As I said in the updates, this book validated for me that the experiences I have had in my life were true After Death Communications. There were many stories in this book that were exactly like my experiences (and many that were not).

This book is really valuable if you need validation that you have received an ADC or just to explore possibilities of what comes after.

I chose to read this book, despite the cheesy title, because the authors dedicated it to Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. The book contains many stories from people who claim to have been contacted by deceased loved ones. I didn't find it to be particularly informative or moving, but it is an easy read.

Should be interesting...hope it sheds light and helps me be at peace. This was an easy read and thankfully not a tear-jerker. One part torn me apart the most though..."When you lose a parent you lose your past. When you lose a spouse you lose your present. When you lose a child you lose your future".

If anything, this was encouraging and provided hope that we can get a visit!

This was a compilation of events and happenings experienced after the loss of a loved one. All signs that spirit is around us and never leaves us. I love this book and read it almost immediately after my husband passed away.

If Heaven is a question read this book. Stories from people that have been given signs from their departed loved-ones. A book that leaves you feeling like asking for signs of your own.

I didn't like this guys writing style nor his title--lame, so I ended up just skipping the reading between stories, but I LOVED the real-life stories in this book. The retelling of visitations from loved ones is varies forms confirmed everything I believe about life after death.

Lots of little stories of spiritual encounters with loved ones who have passed. All different sorts of stories.

One of the better books out there on the afterlife and what happens to our essence/spirit/soul when our bodies can no longer carry us through this mortal life.

I found this work to be extremely comforting to read, after the very sudden and unexpected death of my 28 year old son 6 months ago, from pulmonary emboli.

This resonates strongly with so much of what I already believe and goes on to further examine it and amplify it. Now I KNOW my son will always be with me when I need him and we will have...more

This book was given to me after my Grandmother died. I found it very comforting and healing, likewise my step-mother found it helpful in her grieving process after her father died. Realistically, if you were to read this while not seeking comfort regarding the loss of a loved one, this book would be strictly for those searching for spirits a la Ghost Hunters.

Everyone is entitled to believe what they will... but I loved reading this book. It has brought me comfort and I have recommended it to friends who have suffered losses and it has comforted them as well. I simply read it with an open heart and trust that love doesn't end with death.

Great book for anyone who might be afraid of death, or maybe lost someone and are afraid for them. Confirmed much of what I already believe, and more. LOVED IT!!

Very, very interesting! I learned so much about the after death communications! Long book, but worth the time to read if this is a subject of interest to you!
