Reading this because of my friend who suddenly love to write a fanfic about Alice in Wonderland, but not the Alice we're familiar with. She said this story was Alice's spin-off and it was so great I'll like it. So, out of curiousity, I browse it and read this manga online.

The result? Damn I'm officially turned on by The Cheshire Cat.

Yess, honey, trust Japanese people to turn some fantasy and mythical figure into bunch of cute and

This book is a wonderful spin on the classic tale of "Alice in Wonderland." It focuses on the main character, a young man with the first name Alice. He is taken into Wonderland by the Cheshire cat when strolling though a busy street. Then is soon introduced to the one and only Mad Hatter. This Wonderland is a bit different then the one you may know, this Wonderland is focused on murderess game of Kill the White Rabbit. The only problem is The White Rabbit is swift and not easily caught, adding t ...more

This story may not be the 'Alice in Wonderland' you're used to. This story is about a boy named Alice, who wanders into a mysterious land, and is led through wonderland by the Cheshire cat. After being taken to the queen by the mad Hatter in a delusional state, he is put into a game of 'Kill The White Rabbit'. Will Alice find and kill the White Rabbit? Is Alice swift enough to find his target? This book is the first of six ((So far)) and it was a pretty good read. I finished it pretty quickly. Th ...more

A nameless and empty disillusioned young man stumbles into Wonderland, where he is given the name "Alice" and thrust back and forth while being told to "kill the White Rabbit" to become "The Real Alice". But in a world where you can never turn your back, nor reflect on yesterday, and where time is nothing but a number to some, how long can "Probably Alice" survive?

Urgh. Are You Alice? is kind of like a mix of the original Alice in Wonderland, Alice in the Country of Hearts, and Pandora Hearts, w

"Alice" escapes into Wonderland to forget about his real life, but once there he finds himself trapped in a game to kill the White Rabbit. From the very first page, the characters and their motives are shrouded in mystery. Alice seems to have few of his memories, so we are as ignorant as he is, and only learn things slowly. In this twisted version of Wonderland, he is literally chased by regrets, remnants of all the "Alice" candidates past who failed.

All the characters take a different form tha

Your everyday interpretation of the old Alice in Wonderland tale is immediately thrown out the window when you meet the new Alice (a boy Alice) and then you meet all of the crazy characters the Mad Hatter, Cheshire, and the Queen but they are far crazier and the world of Wonderland is more messed up than before. Alice has one mission if he wants to become the real Alice and keep his name. He has to kill the White Rabbit. The only catch is that only the real Alice can kill him so is he Alice?

It really shouldn’t be a shock that I like something related to Alice in Wonderland. I’ve made it clear it is one of my favorite stories and I adore when people add their own little twist to it.

In this story of Alice in Wonderland the names are given to them and they have their places with their own rules and their own tasks. “Alice” is the 89th to come to Wonderland and happens to be male (it is not clear if this is a first or not, but his case seems to be different than the others) with the ta

I haven't the slightest clue as to what was going on in this book, and the dialogue was awful and repetitive, but the boys were pretty.

Absolutely amazing art. Very confusing at first, but it starts to make sense as things go along.

At first I really didn't like it to be honest but I came to really like the characters especially Alice who is a boy and the Mad Hatter is the cool cat (not literally) in this story. other than the characters interactions with each other and their personalities, I wasn't really intrigued by the story. That being said, I wouldn't mind picking up the next book just to see how my two favorite characters progress. "Are You Alice" is a tail of Alice who was brought to Wonderland by the White Rabbit a ...more

Normally I'm not a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland remakes (not all that fond of the source material either) but after the first chapter's awkward and somewhat cliche start, I was hooked. I'm a big fan of the morbid and this manga's chock full of it. Between the Regrets (past Alices) and the Substitute Alice (The Duchess) this manga is seriously weird and definitely intriguing. It helps that the art is super pretty too. <3

Will definitely be reading the next volume and looking for more stuff

"Unglaubliche schräge Adaption zu “Alice im Wunderland”!"

Deutsche Edition: Tokyopop

Inhalt:

(GOD DAMNIT I WAS WRITING THIS, MY SCREEN FLASHED AND NOW MY REVIEW IS GONE. THIS IS A REVIEW I'M WRITING IN A HURRY. DAMN YOU, BUSINESS FINANCE CLASS!)

I like this manga but, it's very confusing.

It's very hard to understand. This is a unique take on Alice in Wonderland (Japanese mangakas seem to absolutely LOVE this subject or idea..Jesus) , but it doesn't make sense at all.

What's odd to me about this manga is that it reveals "secrets" in the most inopportune of places. These bits of information

Setting:
(1/5) There are so many manga that are based off Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Pandora Hearts and Alice in the Country of Hearts are some examples. I don't mind settings based off Alice in Wonderland - in fact, I loved Pandora Hearts. They just have to have a new twist or be interesting or mind boggling in some way. Are You Alice?'s setting was poorly done. For one, it was confusing and didn't have a charming surreal fee

This manga has mystery all around it and the characters you know have been altered to fit their true, dark personalities. As you read, bits and pieces of (Probably) Alice's memories come back, but not fully. This manga is funny, yet serious. Of course it's serious. There's a guy on the cover with a gun!

Would I read it again? I don't know. Maybe? Would I let my sisters read it? The older ones, yes. Not the 1 and 6 year olds.

I'm really not sure what I think of it. It was fun and interesting but the plot was a little meh. The Alice being a boy was pretty cool. However I had to go back and look at some parts because it got confusing. I also feel like not much happened, a lot of repeating and flash backs and less moving forward. I will pick up the next one because my local library has it but I wouldn't buy it. Hopefully the story will progress well enough to continue.

interesting twist on the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. I'm interested to see where the story takes me and what arises from this new wonderland I am exposed to.

for those who enjoy both manga and wonderland. a confusing tale for adolescents to adults. what was once a wondrous children's tale has now be turned into an murder game

Yet another series in which Wonderland is under gang warfare. I liked the idea of a competition to Become Alice, but it was not made clear as to why it is necessary, or happening at all for that matter. The Queen wants an Alice to kill the White Rabbit, but why? And why does the Rabbit name random Alices if the purpose of said Alices is to kill Rabbit? And I'm honestly a little tired of people re-writing the Mad Hatter is some kind of assassin/hitman. The majority of Wonderland characters were c ...more

So far that I have made it through the book it's one of the most messed up versions of Alice in wonderland I have ever seen but it's one of the coolest too

It was pretty average. The pictures are really nice, and it was easy to understand, but not a lot happened.
