An opportunity to meet Jesus Christ like never before.
Have you ever thought that when Jesus Christ came to earth more than two thousand years ago, he could have simply given us salvation-period -and never done another single thing? It seems like whenever I'm dealing with troubles in my life and I pray for guidance I am drawn to a specific book. I've had this book sitting in my shelf for a little bit, and it was about 3rd down on my list of books to review. But for some reason I felt the urge to pick this one up and read it. I just couldn't pass it by. I'd recently prayed for the guidance to understand how to live my life in the way God intends for me to live it, and to be content in doing so. The opening few chapters of th...more

In reading 1000 Days by Jonathan Falwell, a familiar Charlotte Bronte (Jayne Eyre) quote came to mind. “Life is so constructed, that the event does not, cannot, will not, match the expectation.” This was my reaction to this book from a family known for founding a college and championing social and political change. It defied my every expectation.

Working the Ministry
1000 Days: The Ministry of Christ is an in-depth look at the work of Jesus Christ. He pursue to save the lost, to restore man’s relationship with God, and to break the strongholds of the enemy. When looking at the title and the cover, I was expecting something different, but all-in-all the book was good to read. Christ has done more in his 1000 days on earth then we have done in our lifetime. We have been given a charge to work the work we were predestined to do, yet we have...more

This book written by Jonathan Falwell is technically found in the Christian Living section at Pathways, but I think it could also be some sort of bible study. The books starts out by describing everyone's need for a purpose in life, a purpose that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Jonathan Falwell begins by saying he had been born into Christianity, but that he grew up only going through the motions, never really finding a personal relationship with Jesus or subscribing to his mission until his...more
1000 days: The Ministry of Christ is a powerful devotional based on Jesus time on this earth. Written by Jonathan Falwell, you will find the study very helpful in understanding your purpose as a Christian.
What is our purpose? As you read about Jesus life and model your ministry after His, you will find that our purpose is to love others and show them His love. By being more like Him we will have an impact on those around us. At the end of the chapters there are helpful questions to further your...more

Book Review: “The Ministry of Christ 1000 DAYS” by Jonathan Falwell Reviewed by Jackie Paulson © 2012 for BookSneeze
1000 Days offers insight into what Jesus has to say about life and the concept of finding “the happiness of less” and finding true inner peace.
I blog for free books and I discovered Jonathan Falwall’s book when I picked it out from BookSneeze and its many choices they provide. Reading about Jesus and his life ministry is easy to do as a fellow believer in Christ. As my brothers and...more

I'm not into nonfiction, but occasionally I come across a book of the genre that I truly enjoy. 1,000 Days is a book that focuses on the later life of Jesus Christ, i.e. the story told in the Gospels that takes place throughout a three-year period, or roughly one thousand days.
