It's been nearly a decade since I've read this, so take that for what it's worth, but this is possibly the most lucid and eloquent presentation in English of the Arab-Israeli conflict from a non-Zionist perspective. It is of course rather dated (I believe the narrative ends somewhere in the 70's, if that) and the conflict is not the high priority issue among Arabs that it once was, but if you are a Westerner or non-Arab seeking to understand the Palestinian plight, you could do far worse than to ...more
