This was a part of my latin 3 class, and we began by studying most of the Catullus poems, then going onto a few Horace. I really enjoyed Catullus' works, though I began to seriously doubt his sanity. Many, many times during his poems, he seemed to take on a very creepy air, but in the end he was rather adorable.
Horace on the other hand seemed to be a much more serious author, but amusing nonetheless. His works were more challenging but I liked some of the more mature natures of the poems.
