The short review is that this book is a lot of fun to read. So many of the vampire books get bogged down in a complicated emotional morass. Not this one, though. This is more of a vampire meets people, people die, sort of book. I also get a kick out of it because I live in Vegas and it's nice to see places I know featured as locations in the book.
