My favorite word “what was good for our parents is not good enough for us”. Sometimes, I just imply the relationship way of my parents. Then, hope it also would work well for me. In fact, it did not work. The answer is we just life in different time, problem, and basic need. The times have changed and our values have changed them. you know what? some of it is total BS, BUT, I am actually learning a lot about myself/my style of communication, and why my husband reacts the way he does...I think it's cool
