Possibly one of the best beginner reader books ever written. I love the illustrations, and creative concepts used by Mr. Putter to get pears out of his tree.

I like when he got all of the apples and threw them into the neighbor's yard and the neighbor brought all the stuff over and he was talking really funny then all the pears went into her yard and then she'll bring over all the pear stuff.

A friend loaned this book to me and now I am addicted to the series! They always have a little humor and some little lesson to be learned! A great bedtime story. This one in particular was fun to read in autumn!

Kate's first book of this series. She loves these stories. Humor and kindness permeate them and make them fun for kids and their parents.
