In Book 2 of Gladiators, Gold is sold and he and Samson are parted.

Gold begins a new life at the House of Phineas, where he lives a more luxurious life, gets to fight again in the arena, and is subjected to many erotic adventures.

Although he lusts after a slave who is denied him, his heart belongs to Samson, whom he believes he will never see again.

Then Simeon, his former

description

So how do you rate a book that will definitely stay with me because of cringe worthy moments such as this:

“Lift his legs,” he told me, “and insert the grapes into his anus, as many as you can. Then take them out with your teeth and your tongue.” I lifted Jemin’s legs, met his gaze. Jemin licked his lips, his cock already hard. I pressed the grapes into his anus—three, then four. “Um,” he nodded. “I’m so full.”

Then I sucked out the grapes and inserted my fingers, fucking him like that until his a

This second book of the Gladiator series is no less amazing than the first. It contains the same vivid descriptions of the environment, the detailed look at the way people lived at the time, and the (as far as I can tell) historically accurate background of how society and politics worked. I thought the first volume was hard to read in places, because it was so heartrending, and the characters' desperation almost leapt off the pages. This second one, though, left me emotionally drained due to th ...more

More brutal, more heartbreaking, more graphic and violent than the first installment, but one thing stayed consistent, I’m still enamored with Gold, Samson and the whole gladiators universe.

Gold was so strong and resourceful in his new position and surroundings, doing what he knew he had to do and what was expected of him. At first I was a little pissed at him for seeming to forget Samson so quickly and wanting another so soon, but I was wrong. He had to hamper and quash his feelings, to have an

The brutal depravity of Rome is expanded on again in book two, House of Phineas. Gold and Samson are in love but Simeon is forced to sell Gold to Phineas of face possible destruction. Samson falls for the new trainer and they are soon house champions. Gold is pampered and primed by Phineas. Still the men are slaves and thus only meat to their owners. I'm almost tempted to call this historical fiction. The characters are well fleshed out and the story a good one. I didn't care much for the way t ...more

To be truthful I didn't like House of Pnineas. The story and the characters are dirty, empty and ugly. I don't recommend this series. The story shows us how people behaved when they stopped to be lower then animals, it's sad.
If the story was manly written for erotic purpose, then heck go ahead, read it, it's full of sex act. But if you have something in your heart and mind be smarter and go read something else, there are better books with kinky bdsm themes, and even sub/dom relationship which ar

Book two in a trilogy this book covers golds time as he prepares to go back into the ring and his new master. It imagery created is wonderful bringing the past to life. I can't wait for book three to see how Samson and Gold's Journey ends. A great read but don't expect tonne of romance. This book is graphic and violent but D J Manly did a great job and it is necessary to grasp the circumstances of the characters in the story.

Gold and Samson have been seperated with Gold going to the House of Phineas.
A new trainer arrives at the House if Dimeon, Julian an Samson begins to have feelings for him.
This book was more about the interactions of the Gladiators and not so much of the gore in the arenas.
Alot of sex in this book but an enjoyable read.

Wonderful continuation with the characters of the first book House of Simeon. Although I greatly enjoyed reading House of Phineas, the first is still my favorite!

This second installment had non of the charm of the first book in the series. Too disappointing.

Sorry to say but by the end of this book I was ready to gag...!

What I said about the first book in the series goes doubly for this one. More mindless sex, more blood and less compelling characters. Think I'm going to go watch Caligula again.

To be the second in the series, this was very good. Very hot and satisfying.

There was more sex and better written scenes in this part, way more intense like the ones in the ludiyards in both houses. But I didnt like the "ending" after Golds fight. That last part was told too fast like the author thought "how do i get a new storyline for a third book". It lost the 2nd part 1-2 stars. ...more

I write not only for my own pleasure, but for the pleasure of my readers. I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t written and told stories. When I’m not writing, I’m dreaming about writing, doing something wild and adventurous, or trying to make the world a better and more open minded place to live in.
