My daughter really liked this book. It has simple text that is perfect for a toddler/pre-schooler's attention span. After a few readings together, she was able to read/tell it to herself. Mostly I liked it because it made me feel good about myself. Maybe all those mundane things I do everyday are "magic" to my child. At first glance I expected it to be a rhyming book but it isn't.

Doesn't everyone think their mommy is magic? I thought this was a sweet book that definitely made me think of tender moments with my own mom. I think this book would serve as a great read aloud before a writer's workshop. It could give students a chance to make a text to self connection and find a topic to write about.
