Web 2.0 blogs, or whatever you want to call the new generation of web logs, are more interactive and media focused than their ancestors. They now include or link to features found in social and sharing networks like Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr.

The author describes how to begin by using free, or almost free, blog hosting sites with their simple predefined templates, and then gradually switching to pricier, self-administered sites with their configurable system modules.

I bought this book because I'm website building and I needed something to fill in all the info gaps. This book covers many topics well. I'm only beginning to tap its resources. The few pages on how to go about putting ads into your site more than makes up for the price of the book, even though I paid in-store full cost price for it!

Though I am finding the info is geared more towards PCs, not so much towards Macs.
