Leidolf Wildhaven is the leader of a new pack that was abused by it's former Alpha. Between protecting the pack and running his ranch he doesn't have time for much else. But when Cassie Roux, a biologist that specializes in wolves comes to town he's absolutely captivated by her.

Terry Spear has given us another great werewolf story. I jumped into the middle of this series earlier this year when I read Legend of the White Wolf. I fell in love with the characters almost right away. Leidolf Wildhave...more

I didn't like it as much as the others but that's mostly due to the fact that I hated the main character Cassie. She's very selfish and self-centered. She lost her family when she was a teen so her general attitude towards anything and everything is TO HELL WITH EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY. I'LL DO WHATEVER I DAMN WELL PLEASE, WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. Such an attitude might be really admirable at certain times, but sometimes you just have to mind someone else, especially someone who cares for y...more

1.5 - 2 stars

Pros: good research and decent premise
Cons: lots of tell, not enough show; poor world-building; poor characterization; ineffective writing style; not a good stand-alone; boring; unexciting sex scenes; unbelievable emotional connection between main characters

This book could have been better - I think. I could see that the author made efforts to do research about red wolves. There was at least one particular scene when Cassie and Leidolf played t...more

Somehow I missed reading this Terry Spear book back in August or even September. Shame on me, because it’s a terrific read. Ms. Spear has definitely come into her own with this werewolf series of hers. She pulls you in immediately, pounds you with emotion and action until the very end, gives you characters to love, and a story to bite into (sorry, couldn’t resist that one!). If you haven’t read any of her werewolf books, pick one up soon. You’ll be chomping at the bit for the next one as soon as...more

The story was mostly enjoyable- Leidolf Wildhaven is the leader of a werewolf pack in Oregon, having taken control over from an abusive leader. He has his hands full with trying to manage the unruly behavior of some younger wolves as well as financial concerns about the ranch he runs. He is also ready to settle down and have some babies.
Cassie Roux is a wolf biologist, and a lone werewolf. She champions the cause of wolf conservation. When she comes to Oregon to teach the locals about wolves, s...more

This is a pretty solid entry in the werewolf genre. I like TS's werewolf world. This is the second or third one I've read and the world building is staying pretty consistent. I few things happen quicker than they really might in real life but it's pretty minimal. For example in this one near the end, Leidolf tells a man who works for the zoo that he's been having problems with cougar killing his cattle and a couple of hours later the zoo guy tells him he's captured her and her cubs. That just se...more

Ever have one of those days when bad luck seems to follow you around?

Well, that seems to be the case for Oregon rancher Leidolf Wildhaven in author Terry Spear’s latest release, SEDUCED BY A WOLF. Leidolf is terrible at managing the finances of his ranch and he had his hands full with several abused youths he’s taken in. The fact that he has also just taken over as Alpha leader of the wayward pack of lupus garou (werewolf) just adds to his problems.

The wolf biologist Cassie Roux shows up to lect...more

“Seduced by the Wolf” is the 5th installment in the Heart of a Wolf Series by Terry Spear. It marks the first of her books that I’ve read. I was excited to get my hands on a new shapeshifter novel! Since Lora Leigh’s Breeds Series is fizzling out for me (so sad), I’m ready to sink my teeth into a new series!

The first requirement I look for in a great series is Stand-Alone Quality. Picking up a book halfway through its series shouldn’t leave me confused. Instead, it should make me want to rush ou...more

Seduced by the Wolf was the best of Spears' werewolves so far, but then again I was waiting for Leidolf to get his book (he's made short appearances in several of the others)

When wolf biologist Cassie Roux comes town to give a lecture, pack alpha Leidolf finds himself captivated by the enticing redhead. But since she's only human, she's not mate material. But Cassie's actually hiding a lot, and discovering that there are shifter's in town is going to make her job more difficult and her attractio...more

I used to love cheesy werewolf romance novels in high school. Once I started college I stopped reading them because I had so much more to read for classes and I started reading other genres. So when I graduated on Saturday I decided while I have time I'd read a trashy book and have no responsibilities until the job search payed off. I think I used to like these types of books because I came from a really strict family where sex or talk of sex wasn't allowed and sneaking these books around to rea...more

SPOILER. Disjointed. You know it's not gonna be good when the story is so tedious, you start skimming ahead in the book. I've only read 25% but I can't make myself read another page.

Started out great with fun premise...wolf researcher catches attention of local wolf pack leader. But then she's trying to get away from him because she doesn't want him to know her secret, but she just happens to run into him forrest, and then her long lost cousin is trying to track her, and a fellow wolf researcher...more

Not Feeling the Seduction
Wolf biologist Cassie Roux is passionate about wolf conservation and education. She studies wolves intently, gives speeches and lectures on pack social structure and ecological impact, and spends time with them in their natural habitat. Though considering Cassie is a rare, lone red lupus garou raised by a pack of full-blooded wolves after her family and pack were slaughtered by hunters, it's her natural habitat, too.

She's in Oregon to give a lecture in a small town two h...more

Book Review Seduced by the Wolf

Teary Spear’s paranormal romantic suspense novel SEDUCED BY THE WOLF is a sizzling, fast-paced romance novel. Her knowledge of real wolf culture is connected with the werewolf mystique effectively merging science and science fiction. Dr. Cassie Roux is a wolf biologist while Leidolf is a rancher. However, both are werewolves as well. The attraction between them is immediate and forceful. But Cassie is on a mission to protect endangered wolves. She sees Leidolf as a...more

I enjoyed the book. It was an easy read. Terry Spear has a good foundation for more stories within this werewolf pack. The characters were interesting and could be developed further.

Cassie Roux is a wolf biologist who writes articles and lectures about wolves. She loves wolfs and wants to help their plight. She has a secret that helps her a natural at understanding wolves.

Leidolf Wildhaven is a Rancher, who is attending one of Cassie's lectures. He is immediately attracted to her and wants to...more

By now we all know who Leidolf Wildhaven is, he is the leader of a new pack and also Lelandi's brother. In this novel we deal with him and Cassie Roux, a biologist that specializes in wolves.

Leidolf recognized his mate in Cassie and is fighting his true nature, resisting the call to mate with her.

I don't know if I've ever laughed so much at such a likable two. I fell in love with the characters right away. It was great seeing Leidolf finally meet his match!

Once again Terry Spear has done it and...more

This by far was my favorite of this series. TS finally gave time to "wolf play" having the characters take time as wolves to get to know each other. The was also the most romantic, re: dancing til dawn.
I thought this was the whole series, but, I found book4 that doesn't come in Kindle form, WHY????
So even though at times I was dissappointed in this series, mostly because TS didn't give enough time to the wolf side of her characters, and her constant use of "lupus garou", if this had been a paper...more

Aww so glad that Leildolf got a book.

On the other hand I'm also a little bit annoyed that he got exactly what he wanted in a mate.

I loved that Cassie had lots of little secrets and wanted to do what she loved. I like that throughout the book she was able to stick to her guns in what she wanted, I also thought she was a little bit mixed in her personality and even though at times she was a very strong character I also liked that she was vulnerable in the idea of having a mate.

Now Leildolf, altho...more

Another book down in this Heart of the Wolf series. I feel as though Terry Spear does a great job in capturing an audience into the world of these wolves. The books are filled with pages, but makes for a lightweight read. This installment was pretty good and I did enjoy it, but I felt certain aspects of the books could have been better.

I've been wanting to read Leidolf's story for a while now because he tended to pop up in almost every book so far. So going into this book, I was really excited....more

So i got this book for my Kindle for 99 cents. I dont typically love the books that I get on special, but im always willing to give them a try. Seduced by the wolf had potential, but fell short for me. As a reader i like to get to know the charachters from what they do,not by being told. Terry spear is telling me what Leidof and Carrie are like. Not my favorite, the scary parts weren scary, and the underdeveloped characters made me confused about what was going on. I wont be reading any of her o...more

Okay this one was hard to get through for me. Majority of the book the characters spend way too much time with their inner thoughts & feelings, which led to very limited interactions with each other. Which made the story seem to drag on forever. Second: All the action was spent way too long in the woods and in wolf form. It felt unbalanced to me. If you are writing about wolves who happen to be human as well, wouldn't there be a more balanced scope of their wolf and human sides? At least tha...more

I could only give this book a 4 star rating because of my disappointment in the romance between Cassie and Leidolf. I fell in love with Leidolf, from when he was first introduced in previous books and in this storyline and I couldn’t see him with Cassie, there was a little too much conflict between them. The entire plot of story was good, but you got the feeling that Leidolf and Cassie were not that compatible and that Cassie's character is a little too cold. I felt Leidolf deserved a mate with...more

Wow wow ilove this one also I can rawly say I have a favorite favorite one. I really love them all :D I love that we got to see what happened to Leidolf . I love that we got tosee what he has been upto along with the new person her bit and changed, although I would have been running away just like how Cassie did. But I do love this character more then the other Femal Alpha's :) but that's just me. But again there was intimate but other then that Terry gave me all that I love1- action 2- romance...more

3.5 I had higher hopes for this book. Maybe it's 'cause I kept getting pulled away from it, but I also skipped some of the sex scenes. Seems one just ended and another started and it just wasn't all that. The pack dynamics did pull me in though and now what?? We'll leave them?? The only consistancy in characters in this series is Leidolf has been in them all. I think that takes away from the series:)

Im new to the Supe romance genre and this was one of the first i came across -- i had jjust brought a new ebook reader so was happy to see they had some cheap and free ones was a great book i loved reading it (ebook) .. was great to see some wolf behaviour too and get an insight into what some are like .. as wolfs and as humans when they shapeshift

only disappointment was i was hoping to see the wedding or at least the engagement of cassie and leidolf .... or at least see what happened If and whe...more

I don't know why I put off reading this since I love all things that shapeshift, but I did. I loved it! There was a lot going on, but it was all good, and kept me turning the pages as quickly as I could. Fiesty heroine, sexy shifters, bad guys, real wolves and werewolves sharing space, and a little mystery along the way. I can't wait to read more of Ms. Spears books!

Good storyline. Liked that it didn't give a long, detailed description when the characters got furry. Those of us that read shifter books, like this one, already make the visual leap in our heads as to what that entails. For myself, too much detail covering the transformation makes me want to skip ahead and find out what happens next.

This is my first book by this author. It does stand alone. The only plus is the place and time. It exists, they live in it, there's no huge world building, no woes and wallowing.

But otherwise... it's an boring read. The plot is lacking, the dialogue is dull, the romance... does it exist??

Dull.

I hate to give up on a book, but that is exactly what I did. This book was free on Kindle and I liked the premise of it, but to me it didn't deliver. So it's just as well it was free!

I love reading about wolves and on the surface all the right ingredients are there, but it just didn't grab me. I struggled on and some parts were gripping, but it wasn't for me on the whole, I'm afraid. I gave up at 51%

Hope other readers get more out of it.
