This novel was an entirely new experience for me. Mixing romance and wrestling is definitely unique. I, however, know absolutely nothing about wrestling. I don't watch it, I don't know the terminology, and the only wrestlers I've known are has-beens.

With this in mind, I didn't know what to expect from The Cruiserweight. The book is a gentle read, the pace is sedate, which is a good thing because it gives you plenty of time to get into the world of wrestling. Basically the novel follows Karen, a...more

Slick, smooth, easy read set in the world of wrestling. An unlikely romance between sport journalist Karen and her idol wrester Brett. Gritty, yet traditional romantics need not be put off by the "wrestling" theme, the romance it there ten-fold. Sexy, sassy and fast-paced.
Enjoy.

Welcome to the world of professional wrestling, where the guys talk smack and there are plenty of groupies - and sex. Brett and Karen are likable characters in this fun read.

L.Anne Carrington has managed to create a fantastic world of wrestling in her book The Cruiserweight, which is very readable indeed.
