Pleasantly surprised. It had more depth thatn I had anticipated. Definitely a feel good book for women.
Darcy has been taking care of her dad who has been slowly dying for quite a while. When he finally dies, she learns she has just inherited several million dollars from him. However, the money comes with the orders to “give it all away.” Apparently, the money was a settlement from the man who killed her mother in a car wreck, but didn’t have insurance, so was forced to sell his house and everything he owned to pay the money to Darcy’s father.

Of course, Darcy’s husband and children are less than t
A fun read. However, insiteful (sp?) as to how one would really handle a situation. I struggle with the fact that Darcy has 1.6 million dollars to donate and she chooses (in my opinion) a worthy cause, but not as important as some other necessities in the world. For instance, to feed an entire school of children in Haiti costs $115 per day. That's a fraction of a beauty treatment! I think the author has a good idea of what to express in the book, but the main character could do so much with 1.6 ...more
Sweetly wonderful story about a woman who inherits 1.6 million dollars that she must give away. She meets God along the way.
Written by a Christian author -- not usually something I would pick up. And at times it got a little preachy -- but more often than not, it was just a GOOD book. A good read about coming up for air after the long drawn out death of a loved one. Remembering what is really important, and finding your faith.
Christian chick lit about a woman whose father dies after a long illness and leaves her over a million dollars - with the stipulation that she give it all away. It took me a while to get into it, but I ended up enjoying it. It's similar in pace and tone to the Yada Yada series, if you like those.
