copyright 1916 from the library of Lloyd Johnson.

I found the ten books on this shelf in a used bookstore in Cooperstown. I had never heard of this author but was curious to see what kind of children's writing had been available during the early part of the 20th century. I occasionally like to read something simple and mindless like a children's book So at $4-5 a pop why not?

Now after having read all 10, I can understand why an author of anthropomorphic tales like Arthur Scott Bailey-despite his
