The anti-Trump.

Richard Branson is a businessman that anyone who is in their 20s or 30s and ambitious right now should read about. I'm not recommending that we all take his "all in" approach to business (he would often be on the brink of financial collapse, go all in, and make a spectacular deal go through), but it's a hell of a lot of fun to read about. Plus it's proof that there are fun British people.

Virgin is a hugely successful company largely built on his instincts and in...more

Awsome! Sir Richard Branson's adventures (in the first 40 years of his life) are narrated hilariously by him. He doesn't bore the reader even once...rather he makes sure you have great fun reading the book. Its only after reading the book that you realize what all Sir Branson has gone through and how he struggled throughout...and it all just shows the level of his determination!

All in all, after reading this book you finally realize why Virgin is such a fun brand! (And why Sir Branson is the...more

This autobiography of Richard Branson was very well written, and interesting for about 2/3rds of the work. Learning about his life, some of his adventures, and his business career were all interesting, but the problem was his analysis of the battle between Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. This was a painful period for Branson, but I think he focused on the details of this too much. Still, it is an interesting read, especially if you have an interest in business.

The best autobiography I've ever read and maybe one of the most inspiring books as well - because it's the truth, the real thing. He has lived an amazing life so far and you can learn a lot from him. He is able to write very, very well. The book was so exciting and thrilling I couldn't put it down until I had finished it. Reads like a Dan Brown novel.

Definite must read!

This book not only has a catchy name but it has a CEO who is like no other. Richard Branson does things his own way of having fun. He learned from his near misses in the business world to build upon them to create Virgin Group. The book goes all the way back to when branson was 16 to his near death experiences to battles with British Airways to becoming a CEO.

Richard Branson is my hero. He has done everything his way and continues to do so. Hes done well and poorly but always could see that things would eventually get better. This Bio is more of an reflection of the trials and tribulations of his happiness, sadness and adventures of life and how playing by your own rules can pay off big time.

Fantastic, fantastic read from a truly adventurous businessman. Branson walks the walk and talks the talk. Plus, many bonus points to Branson for being a happy Englishman who's enjoying life rather than complaining about it. Inspirational read to give anyone a boost, if needed, to persevere and find a way to build the life you want now.

Branson has had an incredibly interesting life so far and that alone makes this book worth reading. He takes a lot of chances and somehow he always manages to keep from crashing too hard. I knew very little about the Virgin group before reading this, but will definitely keep a closer eye on it and Branson in the future.

Sir Branson is my hero! Well written autobiography of his non-planned rise to billionairedom. he's an everyday guy that just did things one step at a time and surrounded himself with great people. i learned alot from his writings. I highly recommend this to any entrepreneur. We can all do it!

So this is probably between 3 and 4 stars. I gave it 3 because its not exactly a fantastically written book but it is a fast, easy read which is pretty entertaining. Richard Branson is a maverick entrepreneur who makes you wish you could have just half the fun he does working.

I didn't know what to expect from this book, but I ended up not being able to put it down. Richard Branson had an extremely interesting life both personally and professionally and he describes his experiences candidly in this autobiography. I found it motivating!

This is a fantastic book that is full of incredible stories and great inspiration. A thoroughly entertaining read of an extraordinarily determined and successful man.

On my first read I devoured the book in a day and have enjoyed several times since.

A great story with many short stories bundled in that kept me going close to the end, but all that business with British Airways was way too much for me, and would have enjoyed more about the music side, other than that, enjoyed this easy read.

Branson, a maverick to the hilt has described his life, successes and failures in great detail. I especially love the episode he has with British Airways.

A quick read.

Richard Branson’s highly entertaining and interesting autobiography of the first 40 something years of his life. Finished in 1998, but goes basically through 1993.

Very interesting look at how Richard Branson built the Virgin company and brand from a grammar school drop out shoe string operation to a multi national company.

The book and his exploits aside... he comes across as a bit of a tosser..... a rich entrepreneurial-tosser... but a tosser all the same.
