I reluctantly went to a discussion led by Gari Meacham at a friend's church. I say reluctantly, because although I have always struggled with disordered eating most of my life, I wasn't ready to face that particular elephant in the room. My friend even kindly bought me the book and prodded me to read it, calling me to check on my progress.

This is a great book for anyone who has ever had a dysfunctional relationship with food.

Eating in secret, obsessive exercising, extreme food restriction--Gari has seen it all and she is very sincere and forthcoming.

I had the pleasure of attending Gari's Bible study class based on this book. I looked forward to each session and wished it was for longer than 6 weeks.
