This well researched story of Agnes Morley Cleaveland is fascinating. She was from Datil, NM and lived there off and on for her whole life. She was very independent and a skilled writer. She one time moved to Silver City and ran the Rosedale Dairy so her kids could go to better schools and so she could be independent. She wrote her personal story No Life for a Lady which was an instant success in 1941. She was active in ranching, women's clubs and writing other books and many articles. She was ...more
