So... this is Selena Kitt. Without the smut (for the most part). And it was good! Freaky but good. I was wondering the whole time what was going to happen next. What was with this weird old guy. What the velvet choker really did. Freaky. That's all I can say. ;-)

Shelves: erotica
Not a bad short story. It is clear that Ms. Kitt has spent quite a deal of time honing her craft. Her words are deliberate and concise. This is definitely a tale told by a master wordsmith. I found no issue with pacing or flow. Simply put, it is clear why Ms. Kitt stands out above the rest of her peers as a professional and someone to whom anyone hoping to make a living writing erotica should aspire.
i got this book around Halloween and just now reading it. I should have read it during Halloween. Its a perfect story to read during Halloween. Its freaky in a good way. It has a lot less smut than is usual for a Selena Kitt story.
