This book was co-written by two authors of considerable repute in the webfiction world -- MCM (of The Vector, Fission Chips, etc) and Andy Fanton (of Lord Likely) -- so if you like either or both of them, you’re bound to like this book.

I am a big fan of MCM’s work, but I’ll admit I was a little hesitant about this particular book. I am not a reader of steampunk or comedy; I generally prefer things to be a little less light-hearted.

It's been a while since I've read this, but I still remember laughing out loud quite a bit, en genuinly enjoying this slightly absurd and often offensive mystery tale.

I'm a big fan of MCM, though more of his slightly more serious work like Typhoon than his comedies. He co-wrote The Improbable Leg with Andy Fanton, who is somewhat famous in the webfiction world for writing the infamous Lord Likely stories, of which I've read a couple.

I might be biased, as I co-wrote this with the MARVELLOUS MCM, but it IS a jolly entertaining romp!

Please note, I am purely rating MCM's sterling work here. I'd never be so cheap as to rate my own. Would I?
