Karl Alexander was an adrenaline junky. Whether flying Harriers, the shuttle for NASA, or as chief astronaut for StrataCorp he was only happy at five Gs. But when his ship crashes into the desert of an unknown country, Karl finds a new kind of rush as he is swept into a torrent of the world at the edge of war.

Although the action was fast-paced, I was severly distracted by the constant fliiping back and forth between two different flashbacks --- much like trying to read two books at the same time! Also, this edition is badly in need of editing.
Perhaps I was just lucky, but I managed to purchase the Kindle download for $0.99, and for that reason can't complain.

A good spy thriller which starts out in a most unusual fashion. I needed to suspend reality several times, however the book is fast paced and great fun to read. Basil Sands does a nice job with this genre.

Karl's Last Flight was my first novel. It is a fast paced work, and from folks have said pretty exciting. I know I found it so when I was creating it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The first couple chapters were interesting and funny, the rest is not unfortunately. It quickly degenerates into a poor Tom Clancy clone with a dash of Top Gun split into two narratives set about 30 years apart. The first being in Iran (USA new enemy No1) with flashbacks to Burma in the mid 80's fighting the Soviets and Mujahideen? In Burma?!!
It is filled with the typical American gung ho and very sanctimonious American BS, why do they hate us after all we done for them/world etc...
Oh please! So...more
