I received this as an ARC

Wow, this was a great book! I'm not a huge fan of erotica because I always feel plot goes by the wayside for sex.

This book is not like that.

The plot is much more intricate than I'd imagined. The book is divided up into three sections, each one titled with the brother who gets the most page time. 2 ½ stars. Just ok. Nothing too exciting. Some hot sex scenes. Story could have been better. Loose ends not tied up at end.

STORY BRIEF:
Jon owned a small hotel in northwest Washington State which he never operated. He was a recluse but friendly with TJ who owned a construction business with his brothers Deke and Eli. Jon paid TJ to build three cabins on the property but not to start building until after he died. STORY BRIEF:
Jon owned a small hotel in northwest Washington State which he never operated. He was a recluse but friendly with TJ who owned a construction business with his brothers Deke and Eli. Jon paid TJ to build three cabins on the property but not to start building until after he died. When Jon died he left the inn to his three granddaughters, Marnie, Holly and Kylie who lived elsewhere. Marnie wants to sell the property fast and use the money for her own business, a night club. But when she sees the construction in progress and the rundown condition of the rest, she realizes she has to wait and help fix problems before it can be sold. Holly is divorced and having problems with her ex who won’t leave her alone. Holly sees the inn as an opportunity to move and do something new. Kylie loves the idea of developing family ties with her cousins and wants to stay and operate the inn.

The three brothers and three granddaughters become couples in different ways. TJ and Marnie want each other, but Marnie won’t have sex unless TJ comes after her in a fantasy way. But she doesn’t tell him that. She wants him but her pride won’t let it happen.

Deke wanted a home and family. His girlfriend broke up with him. He got drunk a lot. Then he stops drinking to be able to help TJ with the construction and tells himself he wants lots of sex to get over his breakup. When Deke first meets Holly, he grabs her hips and pulls her close; she kisses him and says yes. They run off to another room and have sex. They continue having a hot, sexual relationship.

Eli has been a wanderer, never liking to stay in one place. He comes home to help with the cabin construction. When Eli and Kylie meet, she makes an inaccurate assumption and insults him. They continue to argue and fight with each other.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
This is lots of sex. Its ok, but it might have been better with a little more relationship development or emotional elements. The sex is vanilla except for one ménage scene: WMW. The plot was pretty good but I wanted more. For example Jon was matchmaking from the grave. But nothing was ever said about why Jon did what he did. It would have been interesting to see some conversation and events leading him to do this. Some other questions are in Spoilers below.

I was annoyed with Marnie’s game. She wanted TJ, but her pride wouldn’t let her. This went on far too long before she finally said yes. I never understood why Eli and Kylie became a couple. There was no relationship development at all for them. They seemed not to like each other. When they eventually had sex it felt empty. The best story of the three was Holly and Deke, especially with her ex in the picture. So, I didn’t like the major plot conflicts for Marnie and Kylie. Am I being too harsh? Maybe. After all this is an erotic book.

Annoyance with the publisher (Aphrodisia – Kensington). Why must all cover guy pictures have waxed and hairless chests? I can’t remember seeing any chest hair on covers. Maybe a rare one or two. But this author is very specific describing chest hair on two of the brothers. I’m disappointed that cover guy doesn’t fit the description of flannel shirt, blue jeans, work boots, and a “Paul Bunyan feel to the brothers. Cover guy is too metrosexual and modelish for the story. He actually detracts from and interferes with my imagination.

CAUTION SPOILERS:
I would have liked more answers at the end. What happened to Jack? Was there any insurance money to cover the damage? If so how much and what was done with it? If not, how did they pay for rebuilding? I wanted more details about Marnie selling her share of the business. What did she do with the money?

Shelves: contemporary, erotic

This a group of stories featuring three brothers and three female cousins. Each story goes into the next and continues. Very well done. Each couple have enough time within the story so that you feel like you know how they end up. I can't tell you what couple I enjoyed the most but I will say that TJ is my favorite brother. Being that it is a erotic romance I didn't feel like the sex was overwhelming. It's an enjoyable read, plus then men are HOT!

I was looking forward to receiving this book through the Goodreads First Read program but I haven't yet received my copy. I wanted to read it because I have been single for 5 years and this book looked really sexy. It seemed like I could enjoy reading it. I know this isn't really a review but I don't know how to move on with a new win if I don't write something since the book was never sent. I will edit this review if it shows up.

Shelves: romance

Pretty good book. Didn't have a very big plot to it. I liked the O'Banion brothers. And I liked how the author took each brother and gave him their own story. Then combined the stories at the end.
