I am going to give this book to someone I love. In telling you this, I am telling you as best I can the effect of this book, but I suppose I ought to say more...
Lin Jensen produces books of quiet magnificence, and this is his best so far. He is so difficult to describe that reviewers commonly and forgiveably cop out by comparing him to other writers - Thoreau, Steinbeck, Dillard - but he really has created a genre that's entirely his own.
