It takes a talented writer to tell stories that are both entertaining and historically accurate AND can be read in less than two minutes each. Ellen Baumler has managed it in Montana Moments.
The book consists of vignettes, each less than a page long, each tackling a different aspect of Montana history. Topics range from "Creatures Great and Small" to "Law and Disorder" and much more. My personal favorite tells the story of camels in Montana--who knew?

Great book with snippets of Montana history. The author works at the Montana HIstorical Society. She used to do a short radio piece each week. The snippets are from her research for the radio show. They are interesting tidbits.
