Me when I found out the release date:
Just finished City of Lost Souls and now I have to wait 2 more YEARS before I can read this book! It's going to be torture I tell you! Pure TORTURE! At least Clockwork Princess is coming out in 2013 otherwise I think I might go insane from this wait!
I LOVE the title it just makes you want to read this even more. I mean who wouldn't want to read a book called City of Heavenly Fire?

Hmm…although I have only read the first three books of TMI, I can't possibly imagine how Cassandra Clare wrote THREE MORE DANG BOOKS!!! Did anyone else think that City of Glass wrapped everything up nicely? I did. With everyone happy. The Downworlders and Shadowhunters forgetting their pasts and mingling. Maryse being okay with Alec and Magnus (that part was so sweet. I smiled whenever they came up.) Clary and Jace together. Simon accepting his sunny-albeit bloody- fate. Happiness for all!!!!! So far, I have read the first two books, and I need to start the third. But do I really need to be in a rush? No. I'll take my time, as this one isn't out till 2014.

I honestly feel like this series started a decade ago. Dragging this out until 2014 is ridiculous. I mean, I love this series, and have supported her when other fans have complained that she is just trying to cash in on a popular series instead of ending it on a high note. But even I am starting to get fed up. *grumble.*

Because I have told myself that I'm not allowed to reread everything until City of Heavenly Fire comes out, I'm going to leave a link to a book discussion about TID-TMI connections here so I can go back and look for all this stuff when I'm allowed to reread the whole of TMI and TID. It was torture waiting two years for Clockwork Princess even though City of Lost Souls came out a year before, to break up the wait. So now that Clockwork Princess is out and The Infernal Devices is completed, I'd hate to imagine the pain and anguish of waiting a year for City of Heavenly Fire oh wait I'm feelin' it right now.
And just the foreshadowing implied in the epilogue of Clockwork Princess MAKES IT SO MUCH HARDER.

AKA the only reason I even read these books anymore. Seriously, what IS the plot now...? Is it just the roller coaster of Jace and Clasry's can/can't relationship? It's stale. Those two (Magnus and Alec) are the only interesting things in these books anymore besides the references to the Infernal Devices which I love

OK... What do I say?
First, 2014, are you kidding me! I don't think I can last that long. I am in love with these books and just even thinking of having to wait 10 months for this book to come out sets me into a deep state of depresion. Epecially since I have surrounded myself around nothing but these books for the past 6 months.
Second, I don't see how people are complaining about having so many books in this series. The way I look at it, the more there are, the longer the story lasts. I hate it...more
