City of Lost Souls took a while to digest. All night I could feel it in my gut like deadweight. All the subplots and characters and relationships and the fact that so much was going on made this book hard to break down.
But, finally, I woke up this morning and it all made sense. So, seeing as the book has been split into separate filing cabinets in my brain, I'm going to replicate that onto this review:

People keep leaving me annoying comments about how if I have nothing nice to say about the new Mortal Instruments books, then I "don't have to read them!" With all due respect, that opinion is wrong; I really do have to read them. I'm sure that Brother Zachariah is either Will or Jem from Clockwork Angel.
Why?
Zachariah is physically described as Will: his mouth isn’t stitched, he has eyes (though the color is unknown, he closes them. Thanks, Clare), has only has two runes on his face, he has lovely high cheekbones, it's thought his head isn't shaved and he has dark hair - and he's young. Yet his character is more so Jem's. I think this book will be as good as the first trilogy. As long as Jace is still included, I will be bliss to read it. Jace is actually the central of attraction to continue reading the Mortal Instruments trilogy. Surely the relationship between Jace and Clary should go on nicely too. Some rough road will be acceptable, but they must not be separated. I will absolutely hate the idea.

Lots of making out scenes ... Hell ... I needed more action and well ... Simon, Magnus, my dear dark evil Sebastian and my new theory of Infernal Devices made this book worth 3 stars ... Sorry I'm not a Clary fan. The last 30% was pretty good.
I was expecting mass destruction and hell's fire consuming the world ... the trailer made my expectations high ... and then everything was like ... "meh".

Am I the Only one who wants Jace to die? I love him, but him and Clary are so anonoying that I just want to pull my hair out. I want him to die so that Clary can a) be less annoying while consumed with grief b) Be relived because Sebastian died with Jace or c) throw herself off the Brooklyn Bridge.

Although I was content with the trilogy that Cassandra bestowed upon us, I am soo happy to hear that there will be more books. I found it so sad when I finished City of Glass, and now we can all delve once more into the Shadowhunting world :)

OHMYGOSH. YOU GUYS.
I THINK I MAY HAVE JUST DIED.
So this won't be a long review or anything, because seeing as how this is the 5th book in the series, I've already said most of what I want in previous books' reviews. I mean, yeah, each book is different, but overall the whole series is just pure epicness. I wasn't surprised that this book was as awesome as the previous books. So most of this review will be me just spazzing off like a crazy fangirl. Enjoy!
