Prime and Begg are in the position of being able to counsel and instruct pastors. Their many years of experience are quite useful in giving good instruction to those who shepherd Christ's flock.
Whether it is prayer, Bible study, spiritual disciplines, or family time, this book covers it. We are instructed in conflict as well as chairing meetings, scheduling, etc.
Highly recommended to those who are pastors.

This book had some practical pointers but it just goes on for a while too long. In addition this book tends to focus more on the "how" and not the "why" of pastoral obligations. Due to being so young and idealistic I'm still considering paradigm breaking as a career. Perhaps someday when I feel the need to sharpen up a bit I'll revisit it. But for now my bookmark is sitting three chapters from the end.

This book is a great encouragement to those who want to be, as well as to those who are already Pastors. It is full of Scripture references that address the core values that we are to have as Christians and especially as Pastors of the church.

Great Book for the heart and the practicalities of Pastoral Ministry. Very Challenging and raises the standard to what a Biblical Pastor is actually called to.
