To be honest, this sort of thing really isn't my cup of tea. I'm more swords and sandals, Roman legions, Greek phalanxes...you know...dudes with skirts. But mindful of a good review from the author of this work, I thought that I'd take the plunge and see what all this was all about.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, at its heart this is a romance novel, but there's a lot more to it than that. It goes without saying that the two principals, Annabell and Henry are fully More...

Clare's Review
Henry Champion is sent to Poland on a simple journey to bring back the English widow of a Polish count. The trip turns out to be anything but simple, when the Countess turns out to be Annabel, the woman who humiliated him nine years ago. This historical regency novel by Kate Allan is full of intrigue, likeable main characters and moments that will make you smile as well as want to find out what happens next.
