This book was great it included superb imagery and excellent writing. The author makes the reader feel that he is there at the time, watching the great hockey stars play. Back to when the NHL started this book holds all the memories from years ago. Did you know pucks were once wooden? No helmets? This book gives you tons of interesting facts that can teach a lot more about the game of hockey. You might just feel like watching hockey and see the many changes over the years. Go read it!

This is a fascinating hockey book. It is not meant to be read in a single setting but to be more of a coffee table book you can refer to and peruse periodically. The pictures alone make this one completely worth it! Any hockey fan would enjoy this and it would make a great Xmas or Bday gift for any age fan!
Loved the combination of SI articles and photographs. A must read book for true hockey fans!
I admit I just read bits and pieces, but it's great!
