This book, is more a 3.5 star book. Its a good book, just not at the level that other books are at.

This second book is better than the first one, the characters are good, have strong suits, and Roi just can't be more lovable in his assholenes!!! The lack of communication between the main characters some time its a bit too much, specially when actions speak louder than words. But then again, it's a book!

I like the way that this book complements the first one, its just different sides of the sto

I got this as part of the Immortal Ops Box Set Books 1-4 (Shifters Romance)

~ 4 Critical Stars ~

Critical Intelligence is book two in Immortal Ops series by Mandy M. Roth. Wow this was an improvement from book one. The plot thickens, lots more action and we learn more about the I-Ops Team. The story is a short story, but it is not rushed and more character development made for a much more appealing read! It also helped that we get characters that have already known each other in book one giving
I thought book 1 was a great read. Book 2 is over the top.
I love a kick ass chick anytime of the day.I love hard bodies and guns too. You mix all this together and the chick doesn't become useless or whiny, this just became the best book ever.
I loved Roi and Mel's story. The fact that Mel kicks ass and is just as capable or better than the guys just steps it up another notch. The back story between them was awesome. The continuing theme through the series is a great story.
I love the idea of g
Better than the first book. The story was more fleshed out and the characters are better developed. But then there is an unnecessary amount of "miscommunication." For Mates who are supposed to be able to read each others minds Roi and Missy sure do have a lot of unnecessary arguments. It was just so frustrating to read the scene where Melissa is essentially in heat and grinding on him but Roi stops to have what felt like a 20 minute conversation with Green about genetics. It was terrible and ins ...more
I loath nicknames...especially for grown people! If I had to read one more Missy-bean or Missy-doll! I could have just thrown up. All the testosterone poured in this series and we have to endure the "little woman", no matter how lethal she is, to be belittled with pet names. Unbelievable and unacceptable! The story itself was lacking and at times hard to follow for me. And can you say lack of personal space when ALL of Melissa's dirty laundry is spilled in front of all the I-Ops?! Not cool at al ...more
First I must say that I loved the first book, Luke and Prene were amazing, I loved their chemistry and how they were with each other. Unfortunately I hated the second book, I honestly couldn't stand Missy and felt bad for Roi. I felt their relationship was more toxic than loving. Missy annoyed me so much I found myself wanting to just skip ahead to the next book, she was hot and cold through out the whole book. One minute she's all "I can't stand you, you are an a$$ and the next they are kissing ...more

Roi caught my attention in the first book in the Immortal Ops series. He had a sarcastic attitude and a zinging come back for anything said to him. I knew immediately he was going to be one hell of a character to read. He did not disappoint, neither did his gal. Missy is full of sass attitude and a ton of bad assery! A fair amount of sexual tension had built between Missy and Roi in the previous novella.

The pairing of two witty alphas who always manage to get the last word in, turned out to be

HOTT! Roi went down just like I thought he would...hard! Missy surprised me with all her wonders but I had a feeling something was off with her from the way she was taking it all in stride in the beginning. Once the truth was starting to come out I was floored and their prior meeting was great. Kind of gross but good non the less. I can't wait to read what's in store next.
Roi is such an interesting character! This for me was better than the first book. It was more developed, too. It's great to see that feel where the book just shifts it to other characters being the main. There were a few points it seemed to drone on instead of flowing. I especially felt there were a few times ideas weren't carried through to the end. However, a few times things would be left more open and then further be resolved by the end. Not a bad story over-all.
Love this book to pieces!!! Missy is a sassy spunky little spitfire!! Just my kind of gal!! Roi really has his work cut out for him in winning his mate!! They are a fabulous pair and I was really into their whole dynamic! Gotta love a couple that bickers!

I really enjoy ed the intrigue and paranormal elements of the story. The whole thing flowed very nicely and never had a dull moment. It was beautifully paced with smart and fun storytelling! I honestly wanted more!

Hello hot and heavy steamy acti
This story was better than the first but a little tough to follow. In addition to a complicated network of spies, the hero and heroine spent so much time going back and forth and knowing each other and then being surprised by each other it was a bit fatiguing.

After reading book one I couldn't wait to read book 2and this book didn't disappoint. You get shapeshifters and so much more. Add in sexy alphas with humor and I can honestly say these are some of my favorite books.

Parts of the story were a little convoluted, so I was confused and had to go back and re-read some bits. But otherwise, this was a pretty fun read. I'm glad these books are turning out to be decent, since I purchased them on a whim. :-)

This was a much improved story from the lady book. Still very adult, but we got to see more of the plot. I enjoyed it more. It was very cloak and dagger. Recommend for a quick read.

playboy shifter finds a reluctant mate ...she's as powerful as he is and just as deadly....they both resist the bond...but true mates win every time...No escaping this bond
Same issues as the first one - everything happened too fast and most of the conversation between the main characters didn't make sense. I don't think I'll go on with this series.
I'll be honest, I usually avoid erotic/romantic fantasy, horror, Sci-fi...but after reading "King, King, Goose" by Mandy M. Roth, I decided to take a chance on her Immortal Ops series. I'm not a prude, but I'm not into graphic descriptions of sex either, yet..I could not put down either "Immortal Ops" or "Critical Intelligence". The stories were well written and in my opinion would have still been fantastic with the porn...

Well written characters, excellent plots and sub-plots, were-wolves, Fae,

The chatacters in this book were better developed, yet the misunderstandings that arose between them were annoying and petty. The story line was cliche. I don't want to rate it too badly as it was somewhat enjoyable, but not to the standard of other books in the same genre which far surpasses it..

Book 2 just as amazing as the first immortal ops can't wait for the next one
I really like the way the series is starting to mature. Very glad I stuck to the series.

Critical Intelligence was very amusing. Roi and Missy going at each other(out of the bedroom) is really hilarious. Then it gets hot when they go at each other (in the bedroom) after their fights. I couldn't put it down.
See Immortal Ops Box Set Books 1-4 for my review.
This book had a lot more interaction between the main characters then the first book in the series. Melissa had Roi frustrated and so tied in knots that i almost felt sorry for him. There were a couple of good laughs and a few good fight scenes that showed the strength that Melissa had. The sex scenes weren't that great and i felt they took away from the story line. Very little tenderness. Also i didn't care for the way Melissa's father treated her. Over all it was a fun book to read and i'll be ...more

menos malo que el primero. vamos a ver el tercero.

Okay this book was definitely better than the first. I found the characters a lot more interesting but still got annoyed with the fact that they were actively being attacked by Vampires but still managed to find time to play tonsil hockey. Onwards and upwards.
