Some of these short stories are brilliant. Most of them are just a couple of pages long. In one of the stories, a man and his friend are eating artichokes, his friend suggests that their unique taste comes from Prussic acid. His works often deal with melancholy and lovelorn characters, and offer a rich portrayal of contemporary Stockholm through the eyes of the flaneur.
