So, in a distant future, sex, economics, and religion all get mashed together in the production of Skydolls. Sentient, fully-aware, female robots, used for pleasure and whatever other uses people can think of. Somehow this overlaps with the planet's religion, where virginal purity is championed -- however, using a Skydoll in the goddess image is somehow considered a sinless act.

First volume of short stories about Noa, the protagonist of the Sky Doll series, in which we learn some things about her past, more precisely about her past jobs. The artwork is done by several authors and the stories are written by Barbucci or Canepa. I think it's a quite enjoyable reading and it can be read without the main volumes.

Fantastic artwork; written by Barbucci and Canepa but mostly illustrated by guest artists. Huge kudos to Marvel for bringing these European comics to the American market and giving jaded and bitter readers like me a fresh alternative to the tired superhero genre.

The first half, "Spaceship," is comprised of six short stories about exciting episodes in the otherwise mundane lives of different "sky dolls" and was thoroughly entertaining. The second half, "Lacrima Christi," was a bit more tedious an
