Can a feisty terrier unite two lonely souls?

Martin Davis is a lonely businessman. His brother has just married and is enjoying the life of a newlywed, and Martin misses his companionship. Work doesn’t fulfill him like it used to, and coming home to an empty house is a drag. But when he decides to adopt a feisty terrier from a local shelter, he gets more than he bargained for.

Emily Ireland loves her job as a dog walker and working part-time for a local dog shelter, Time for Paws. She’s delighted...more
Martin and Emily both have pasts they have tried to run from. They have pushed people away and have avoided love for far too long. But a little dog named Nessie is about to change all of that. In this sweet and romantic story, Martin and Emily learn how to forgive themselves and trust God to forgive them and free them to love again.

I loved this book.

Like so many of us Emily and Martin had both reached a point in their lives that they felt as though they had nothing to offer a spouse. Emily because of a bad childhood that brought her to the darkest days possible, and Martin because of a failed marriage. Enter Nessie the Cairn Terrier. She brought the two of them together and showed them both that they needed to trust God and follow their hearts.

It is a beautiful story...go out and get it!!

Martin is having problems with his newly adopted dog, Nessie however when he turns to Emily for assistance with training the dog. While caring for the dog, Martin gets to know Emily and sparks fly between the two. This is a sweet story that uses a dog as a matchmaker which is an interesting concept.

Story line okay, not really and in depth book, good for a quick no thinking read.
