I´m afraid this was the most disappointing book in the series. :(
I didn´t like either Jacob or Faith. I just couldn´t understand his reasoning for leaving her and his continuing refusal to admit he loved her. Completely ilogical, IMHO. Faith was a complete mess too, but I guess I could blame her raging hormones for that. NOT! She was warned about the effects of caffeine and alcohol when combined with the mating heat, but went out of the way to find the nearest bar and pump coffee and beer into h...more

Six years ago, the Lab technicians went so far as to pump Faith full of aphrodisiac and offered her to Jacob on a silver platter. Since she was his destined mate, he couldn't help himself, but the explosion rocking the labs put a stop to the more or less amorous intentions, and Jacob disappeared.
Jacob's lived with self-disgust ever since, certain he's hurt her, convinced Faith now feared him. He returned briefly six months ago to help Wolfe in getting his mate and promptly disappeared again...He...more

This story had no romance whatsoever in my opinion...it was overly-sexed with too much mechanical description with crude words. The only sweet thing about Faith was her name only in this book. She was rough as guts with the toilet mouth, definitely not one's average virgin. I think i was appalled with this story. I always pick Breed stories with the hope that it will be full with emotion ( not just sex instinct), some sweetness from the females, less foul language, a better description of female...more
This was an emotional ride!
The second in the Wolf Breeds series, this is Jacob and Faith's story. They obviously didn't see things the same way when Jacob left Faith 6 years before, to protect her and because he thought he hurt her, while Faith felt abandoned and rejected.
The new-and-improved Faith shocked Jacob to the core, she's now badass, fiery, but still lusciously tempting. Since they were mated, they just couldn't resist each other's touch. They really matched well, this is not a case of...more

Meh.
It was okay. I noticed that the dialog of a scene near the beginning of the book was basically repeated word for word towards the end of the book. That's not just sloppy editing, it's completely lazy.
I have to say, I liked Dash Sinclair, ever since then I have been just unimpressed with the wolf breeds. They seem surly and growly and not in a good way. All uptight and clueless, and they have this tendency to be cruel.. As such, I never warmed up to Jacob at all. He reminded me of this boyfri...more

I love hearing about Wolfe and Hope. Wolfe has been on his own so long he does know how to handle his mate. Hope doesn't let him get away with much. Jacob is the usual clueless male thinking that since Faith is small and delicate looking that she can't handle the sex needs that he has. Faith has been waiting so long of Jacob that she is not sure if she wants to be with him or stay independent. I guess they are going to have to work things out soon. I had forgotten that the Council had a way to m...more
This book was such a refreshment from its predecessor and I'm so very thankful for that! It had passion and tension and the main characters had a history with each other, they didn't just met and fell madly in a mess of lust and love. Faith is probably one of my favorites female characters, probably the best one since Sherra and that is saying something, because there were some very good and wicked ladies until this book. Jacob was so full of it and Faith told him to suck it up and then they did...more
Faith was a sympathetic heroine for about 10 pages, and then I couldn't stand her. Poor Jacob felt like he had used her badly when she was 18 and everytime he saw her after he sensed fear - which as a Breed he can - so he stayed away. So when they are brought together again and he lets her know why he was away for so long (6 years), she's hot, then cold, then hot, then cold. Poor Jacob! You suffered, he suffered. She runs around like people aren't trying to kill Breeds in the same town she is in...more
This #11 in the Breeds series, was much better than #10 Wolfe's Hope. Reason being it was 3 times as long and therefore characters could be better fleshed out.
Saying that, our Hero was certainly unlikable for half of the book until he got his act together. Once again it is 6 years after the rebellion and just after Wolfe's Hope wherein Jacob, Wolfe's top Enforcer meets up with his mate Faith, Liasion to the Packs. She is in heat, doesn't know about it, and Wolfe sends her to find Jacob in Sth Am...more

Hmmmm... Erotic Sex... She goes to find him after 6 years... She's pissed at the abandonment. They fight. Then have sex & fight the entire book. A couple hundred pages later it has an (unspoiled by me but...) absolutely predictable ending. No more, no less. This book was the one unimportant (because there was no story, so you could afford to skip it) book. Unless... You want that pure sex book fix. I am just determined to read the entire series. It gets a 4 for the sex (very repetitive, othe...more
1 1/2 stars. This is very close to the worst book I have so far read in this series. I disliked both of the characters. Jacob was dumb as dirt. I mean really, really stupid. Faith was annoying and inconsistent. She completely changed her attitude somewhere around half way through the book, for no apparent reason. Skip this one. If you can not skip it because you are obsessed with Leigh's world (or the hanky panky going on in her books), then let me ruin everything for you. Wait, you already know...more
Jacob's Faith is a new form of torture...I wish I could take a real gun and shoot the imaginary heroine out of her pathetic, miserable life, right fucking now. She's a real pain, a stupid, childish one too.
I honestly don't care about the characters or their relationship or the story, because frankly, there's no story. All they ever do from start to finish (prologue excluded) is argue and argue, and argue. And then they have sex. And then they argue again. The pattern continues from the first ch...more

4 ½ Stars! ~~~ This is the eleventh book in Lora Leigh's Breeds series. All of the stories in this series are quite emotionally intense; this one even more so. Faith has been rejected by her mate, Jacob for the past six years, and now being forced to be together, she fears he'll accept her as mate only out of pity for her. I loved how Jacob came to realize that while he thought he had been protecting Faith through the years, he had actually been causing her great pain. Faith amazes Jacob with he...more
Jacob's Faith was looking to be a good read in the beginning, then it just sort of fizzled in the middle, leaving me to just want to finish it so I could begin another book to read. I loved Faith and her stubborness, as well as her violent mentality, and her immense pride and coffee addiction I could most definately relate to. Jacob on the other hand left me feeling cold. He tended to be a bit on the selfish and self-centered side, no matter what his reasoning was. I really didn't warm up to him...more
This is the first breed/breed mating.
Another breed revealed at the end of the book was shocking Though the hint with the feather in the tree was good.
Faith, you are my love. You are my heart. When I saw those bastards so intent on taking you, knowing if they killed me they could take you, I nearly lost my sanity. His voice lowered to a whisper. I did not even know how much a part of me you were, until I knew I could lose you. As expected from the Breeds Series, this one's hot and heavy. The political situation or the struggle of the breeds gets even more frustrating. They were not accepting the breeds and are more afraid of what conception will do to humans. I was glad to read something about the Feline Breeds. I can't say i truly liked Faith.. i think she's one character of the breeds who's somehow forgettable.. but i like Jacob. Story's good. I always look forward to what'll happen to the breeds since politics got...more
I've read several other of this series and have enjoyed them all. This one was just too much. Too much revenge, too much guilt, too much anger and rancor between Jacob and Faith. While I can understand some of it on Faith's part, it goes on for far too long and poisons the story. Both are strong characters, neither willing to give an inch, but Faith is determined to make Jacob pay, and pay, and pay some more for the years that they have been separated.

I liked the native American on the cover and thats all I liked.I did not finish.I struggled for a month but my brain refused.Jacob was a straight up jerk and Faith was Breed mate.I'm sure she could be interchangeable with the rest. The flashback from the lab just put me off.The there was the fact that in those 6 years Faith suffered Jacob was out enjoying other women. Is this truly fair? When they got back together and Jacob decides to assert dominance by taking Faith It became too irritating for m...more
In this installment of the Breeds series, Jacob and Faith are mates, but Jacob believes he has taken Faith's innocence by mistreating her while they were in the labs. So he runs away from Faith for six years hurting the both of them. Faith on the other hand is bitter she wants only for Jacob to truly claim her. The alpha, Wolfe has decided enough and sent Faith to hunt down Jacob on a fools errand because Faith has become a danger to herself and other Breeds.

An "alright" read... Adds to the series but I felt that this book lacked a fair bit in the overall story line of the Breed progress and war with the Council and Purest societies, like the last two books managed to do. I do realise that this story is a lot shorter that the last two books that I am speaking of but I don't think the story would've lacked anything by taking 1 or 2 of the sex scenes out to add in a bit of the 'overall picture' look at the world..

Ok, I have a bit of venting to do here. I like the underlying plot that runs through the series, but the same sex scenes over and over... "Oh Hope you taste like honey and are so hot and tight." Jacob needs to expand his dirty talk.
Then, there were even several parts of the books that seemed copied and pasted to fill up room. For instance, when the alarms were triggered. The text, actions and conversation between characters was *identical* as the time before. Really? There really was not much o...more

Started off sooo good! A kick ass female who was not going too let the man get away with being a complete asshole. But then it got soo repetitive: don't push me Faith. I've reached the limit of my control. EVERY SINGLE TIME they had sex. Jeeeeesus. That stopped this book from being a 4 or a 5. Jacob was so annoying and Faith was awesome and aggressive and put him in his place time and time again. She was so amusing and crazy, I will definitely reread her scenes and then have to stop before Jacob...more

"Jacob's Faith" by Lora Leigh was the next installment of the Breeds series, and was very interesting and contained some surprising and exciting future storylines. This book was a bit slow to get into, but the end result was of the book was worth the read.
Jacob, top Wolf Breed enforcer, left his mate Faith, Wolf Breed liasion and negotiator, six years earlier because of one night they shared in the Breed Labs they were created in. He believed he hurt and scarred Faith with his actions, and thou...more

For the most part I enjoy this series, but this book? I can't do it any more. I got to page 162, and there's still no plot. We just keep living the same scene over and over again.
"You left me for six years!"
"I did it for you. Now say you're mine."
"No"
Lots of sex.
"I lived without you for six years, I don't need you."
"Damn you, you're mine"
Lots of sex.
"Blah, blah, blah"
"Blah, blah."
Lots of sex.
And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.

So... I love the Breed series but... the inconsistencies throughout the series are starting to become a distraction. I point the finger to her editors who should be catching these things for her while Lora focuses on story development. I also think there's a definitive diference between books published by Elora and the others... her Elora books have less satisfying plots, and (dare I say) too much sex. But I still can't stop reading the series - I love me some Breeds.
i usually love the breed books but this one fell flat. there was such little plot i was bored. i really didn't understand jacob's insistence that he needed to stay away and couldnt love. after awhile i just lost interest. faith, well, i couldnt possibly understand her big turn around either. they both started out with conflict, blinked, and then it was over. there was pretty much zero plot advancement with the council or breed politics. i missed that.
I think on this one Im going to have to agree with some of the previous reviews and say that this, so far, has to be the worst in the series.
About half way through I found myself so irritated with both characters that I actually put the book down for a few days before I could finish it.
Never happend to me with one of Lora's books before. I ended up just skimming through the rest of it. The plot finally shows up at the end and it was just to set up the next book.

This book fell into the less plot/more hot category.
Jacob and Faith were very, very stubborn. I really liked Faith's defiance. After Jacob mated her 6 years ago and left her, she made him work for their time together. She had lots of issues do deal with in the wake of the mating effects. She wasn't the shy, timid 17 year old he once new. Jacob had to come to terms with what he did to Faith. But, really the whole book was just about sex.....
Okay so I've been reading the breed books for about two years now and i have finale got them all but out of all of them this one didn't really catch me I'm mean there wasn't really any story there was a lot of sex and do mean a lot but there's maybe 13 page of fighting the labs faith and Jacob fight the whole book about the same old thing but I do have to say that they are funny faith has an amazing wit and and doesn't take Jacobs BS so all in all it's an okay read =~>

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in...more
