I really thought this one was cute. I really enjoyed the voice of the narrator and how she gloats at being older and describes being a baby as so horrible (until the happy ending). I particularly liked how a crib or play pen is "prison" and that a pacifier stops a scream from coming out, but there were many other cute descriptions. I enjoyed it as an adult who has a baby, but I felt that the intended audience was rather narrow. It is a great book for reading to a preschooler or old More...

This is an adorable book, narrated by the big sister, that mostly talks about why being a baby is terrible. Babies can't play with barbies, or sit on chairs without being strapped in, or walk anywhere. The ending shows the affection that the big sister has for the baby, and...really, this is a much better book than I'm making it sound.

While my nephew wasn't interested in this book at all, my niece liked it to a degree. She certainly identified with the older sister, but also seemed to think the sister needed to cut the baby a little slack. She said to the sister, "Well, of *course* the baby can't do all those things that you can! He's a BABY!" I'm sure that her younger brother was thinking, "Ah, the irony."

This is probably a story moms and dads will get a kick out of, especially if they have More...

Liked the theme of the book by Sally Lloyd-Jones. The pictures were not the best part of the story. Thought the big sister's point of view was cute. Thought it might be a book for grandchild to hear. I liked the illustrator's use of notes or lists incorporated in the pages. Another one of my studies of style and word count for picture books.

Absorbing from cover to cover for kids (girls and boys alike) and enjoyable for adults. What more can one ask from a picture book?

And what could be more fun than hiding a mischievous snicker in your voice as you read the word "poop" to an attentive group of children?

If you need a book to give as a gift to a little girl who is about to or has just got a new sibling, this is it! It is extremely funny, beautifully illustrated, and very poignant. My husband and I read it alternately laughing and then crying. A very special book.

This is such a cute kids' book! Even though my daughter doesn't have a "baby" as a younger sibling anymore, she loves it. Any kid who has a younger sibling, or that even knows a baby would like it. I love this book, and I have read a LOT of kids books!

Daniel really likes this book. It is pretty cute and some parts that made us laugh out loud. We also read How to Get a Job...By Me, The Boss. Katilyn wants to check out How to Get Married...By Me, The Bride, but Daniel doesn't want to read that one!

"It's because the baby had a tiny little book and he said goo goo goo at the first, and then it's because there was a big fat baby. And the baby was in the school, and she was tied up and in a seat, and she scribbled all over." noelle

My sister took my niece to the library and found this book. She said it was so funny that I needed to read it. When I was over at her house the other day I read it out loud. I could barely get through it I was laughing so hard. Very funny!

This book is about how to be a baby. And did you know babies eat books? I don't know if that's real or not. How old are you? Hmmm. Let me guess. Any age.

My favourite part was the baby pooping.

This book is ADORABLE! Even though Kate, doesn't have a little sister, she still got a kick out of the precocious little girls' list of things her little sibling can and can't do.

Really cute and really unique. When I worked as a shelver at the library I couldn't help but read through it again everytime I saw it on my cart!

Hmmm... the ending almost redeems the book.. Almost. Should be titled, "How to be a bratty big sister.." Hmmm.....

Cute book. It's funny. I think I may check this out someday when I've got a small child and a baby.

Such a cute book for a big sibling. Morgan thought it was great and it was fun to talk about how much Chloe has grown since she was a baby. I will read it with Chloe when we are ready to welcome another baby to our family - I think it will help the transition and let her know what to expect in a fun way.
