Once the rain stops and the ground warms up, we should start having the first of the spring vegetables appear. Being able to use fresh ingredients is one of the major advantages of living in a rural area, either from our own yards or from local farmers and growers. The recipes here are divided by type of major ingredient rather than by category in the meal, and there is a separate section on seasonal recipes.
