So, this is it. Wow!
I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved this book. I know, this has been said many times before but I have to repeat it. This was epic!
The Iron Queen picks up right after Meghan and Ash were exiled and tells the story about Meghan’s last fight against the False Iron King and her attempt to save the Nevernever. This was an epic story about bravery, loyalty, friendship, true love as well as despair, loss and sacrifices.

Ah, I’ve finally come to the end of this series (sort of). It’s quite clear to me that I really am not a fan of Julie Kagawa’s writing style but I’m always hopeful. Sadly, I have resigned myself to believing that this is not going to change, not now and not ever.
There was nothing really offensive to me in this book as they were in the previous ones. The story moved at a decent enough clip, I suppose, though I find myself having to force myself to finish it because her prose is just s More...

If you have not read this series... please do! I am so very in love with it!
This installment was probably my favorite of the three.
I think one of my favorite parts of reading a series is watching the characters develop. And The Iron Fey series was an excellent example of that. Ash proved himself to be more than an ice cold heart, Puck's incessant mischief even gives way to seriousness and Meghan, once a insecure school girl, find courage beyond her means. P.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N. in EPIC proportions!
BRILLIANT! I read the netgalley of The Iron Queen last month (thank you Netgalley and HarlequinTeen!)... it was so good I immediately had to reread the series up to and including The Iron Queen again. I am still blown away! Julie Kagawa is a master story teller. She has the ability to paint the scene with her words and describe the characters so richly, it's like a movie is playing in my head as I read.

I.Am.Speechless.
This is easily one of the best series I have had the pleasure to read. I read all of the books back to back and let me tell you! Nothing ever prepared me for this epic adventure let alone the ending!
I struggled to actually sit and write a review for the first two books, because I was so caught upon the adventure. I knew there was no way I could write a review until I read all three of the books. So instead of just reviewing The Iron Queen, this will b More...

The Iron Queen is one of the best fantasy books I've had the pleasure to read. Julie Kagawa took me on a journey that I can only describe as fantastical. The characters are incredibly realistic; vivid and rich with depth and passion. The world she creates is described so minutely that you can visualize yourself with Meghan right down to the acrid smell of iron. The emotions the story evokes run the gamut. This is one powerful story that deserves the highest praise.

The false king is still trying to take over the Nevernever and he needs one more thing to accomplish his goal: the power of the Iron King. The land is slowly getting poisoned, more and more fey are dying and something needs to be done soon.

The third installment of my very favorite fairy and steampunk series featuring my favorite cat ever and the cutest Gremlin alive ... I loved The Iron King and just liked The Iron Daughter. The typical consequence following the law of paranormal trilogies would be that I tolerated The Iron Queen - for old times' sake. But no - I got to be surprised (although I sometimes feel so unsurprisable): In most parts I liked The Iron Queen almost as much as The Iron King and in some parts (i.e. the number

ohhhh nice cover! I just now noticed it
:D
Now I totally might be in left field here, but I think I would have been better sold on Meghan being unpopular if she wasn't so...pretty looking. Like, the model for the series is WAY too pretty to ever be bullied. I mean, she could be Regina George's cousin.

I enjoyed both Iron King and Iron Princess, but IRON QUEEN is definitely the clincher. As can be told from my waxing on an on about Ash (see below if you don’t mind spoilers,) I am a big fan of his: Initially, I was all for Puck, but events in Iron Princess and Iron Queen have turned me into a card carrying member of team Ash. Though he is a big reason for my loving the series, he is not the only reason. Another reason is the fact that I cried. Now, I cry at the drop of a hat, but the events i

I am so flattered and honored that MM's is quoted in The Iron Queen!
*spoiler free*
With electrifying romance, action packed and heart wrenching scenes, Julie Kagawa's The Iron Fey series continues to engage me emotionally and leaves me breathless at the end. Her richly developed characters become more vivid, real and stronger as they never falter on their journeys. The Iron Queen deserves more than just 5 stars! Loved it! What did you guys think?
A good book has to be able to completely suck you in. A great book is one that sucks you into the point that, when you finish, it is always a complete shock.
So it is a good thing that The Iron Queen was the latter!
Probably the best place to start this review is with the beginning:

This.was.epic!!! Simply epic. Julia Kagawa wrote an incredible third book in the Iron Fey series. I laughed and I cried - a lot! And I devoured every second of this book.

My blog review: http://parafantasy.blogspot.com/2010/11/...
After just finished reading the Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa, I am speechless, though I had to come up with words in order to write this review. Here’s my attempt at trying to describe how much this book has amazed me.

MICHELLE'S REVIEW:
RATING 4.5 STARS OUT OF 5 !! TEAM ASH!!!
A big thankyou to Net Galley for this wonderful advance read.
I fell in love with The Iron Daughter book # 2 , it was fast paced with Ash, Meghan , Puck, The Ironhorse and Grimalkin leading an exciting adventure through the Faery realm/mortal world.

There are absolutely no words after finishing this beautiful, beautiful book called The Iron Queen. I loved every single moment of it and I am happy to say that Julie Kagawa has done it again! It was full of action, romance, slight humor, and a questionable ending that will lead us straight to the next sequel, The Iron Knight-- which by the way, I simply can't wait to read!

Just when I thought The Iron Fey series could not possibly get any better The Iron Queen comes along and proves me wrong. Julie Kagawa has written another brilliantly woven tale full of romance, adventure, and danger. It is so well written that I felt like I was there and could see, hear, smell, and taste everything.
Meghan Chase's relationship with Ash is one of the best written love stories. I felt everything they felt I cried when they cried. Ash has become to me what most Twilig More...

I'm going to do my best not to give too much away here. but the iron fey series, is by far my favorite book series. I read a lot, and usually this changes as i stumble upon a series that i find has gripped my heart and tugged it in a million directions, but never once loosened its grasp on me. this series as by far done just that. this book in particular however tops the charts. its one of my favorites in the series, it tugged at my heart strings every word i read, and it never let me go. it pul

Before Meghan even has a second to breathe, trouble strikes again. The iron fey are after her even though both her and Ash are exiled from the Nevernever. They thought they had left that world behind them. In this book they not only return, but are thrust right into the midst of extreme danger, where they quickly realize that Meghan is the Nevernever's last hope for survival. She is the only one who can withstand iron's cruel effects, so it is up to her to once again destroy the Iron King a More...

The Iron King series surely had come a long way. I remember the first time I picked up the first Iron King book. I was entranced by the cover and the story; it immediately captivated me from the first page. I never ever thought that there would be a better book than the first one and then came Iron daughter. I was nervous because there’s this epidemic going around with books. Don’t you just hate when books goes from good to a complete mess? Yeah that’s basically what the epidemic is. I am happy

Hmm...how to summon words to describe this story. It definately had me on the tip of my toes, never ceasing to suprise me. Kagawa did a fantastic job of deeping the main characters personalities, bringing out characteristics that have been lying dormant in them. I got to see a side of Ash never seen before, his soft side. We get an insight into how much he loves Meghan and what he would do to keep her safe and happy. And then Puck who also loves Meghan but is only considered her best friend, who

Kagawa does not fail when it comes to the third installment in The Iron Fey series. I'm always a little wary of series simply because it's not uncommon for some aspect of the writing to taper off. Not here. Kagawa holds strong and delivers yet another amazing installment.
Meghan has a problem: the two glamours that exist within her, Summer and Iron, really don't like each other. Sure, she can use them but they make her throw up a little in her mouth. Literally. The iron and the oldblood More...

If you would have suggested to me that I was going to like faerie stories a year ago I would have snorted and said, "Ummm... no I'm not, they are way too pretentious. How could I like that?" Well, as you can clearly see I was totally and irreversibly wrong. And for once I'm really glad I am.

I have to admit . . . I don't cry when I read books (at least not very often). It's only happened with two other books. It takes a lot to get me so emotional during a read that I break into tears. But, this one did it to me. I was bawling like a baby, uncontrollably, at the end of this book. It was a beautiful end (but not really the end, thank goodness) to this trilogy. Julie Kagawa did a wonderful job bringing this story to a conclusion in the way that it needed to be done. It wasn't ex
